About

Frankie’s of Charlotte sits in Huntersville, North Carolina, in the Lake Norman suburbs just north of Charlotte, along Bryton Corporate Center Drive. It’s part of the family-owned Frankie’s Fun Parks chain, a name that has been around since 1990, and it operates as a sprawling indoor-outdoor entertainment venue rather than a single-purpose club.

A Two-Story Battle in a Post-Apocalyptic World

The heart of the action here is the laser tag arena, a two-level, post-apocalyptic-themed world where players strap in and load up with phasers before stepping onto the battlefield. Teams and players enter the arena together, but only one side walks away victorious. The theme is immersive and moody, designed to feel like a survival scenario rather than a simple shootout. The arena is built for intensity, with high-tech lighting and sound systems that pull you into the experience. It’s open to guests ages six and up, which makes it a genuinely family-friendly way to introduce younger players to tactical combat without the sting of paintball. Whether you emerge as a lone survivor or lead your squad to victory, the two-level layout keeps every round feeling fresh.

More Than One Way to Compete

Laser tag is only one piece of a much bigger picture. Frankie’s of Charlotte is a full entertainment mega-venue, and the tactical fun extends well beyond the arena. There are three go-kart tracks — a quarter-mile Road Course, a Drifter track with seven 180-degree turns, and a slicked Slick Track for the most skilled drivers — plus three mini-golf courses with 54 unique holes. Indoors, guests find a 24-lane black-lit bowling alley, modern bumper cars with black lights and mirrors, a Hologate virtual reality attraction, an XD dark ride, and an arcade floor packed with hundreds of games from basketball to driving to crane games. There are also classic amusement rides like the Drop Zone, Discovery, Tea Cups, Family Swings, and the Disk’O. In short, it’s a place where a group can spend an entire day moving from one competition to the next.

Built for Birthdays, Corporate Days, and Everything Between

Frankie’s of Charlotte is a natural fit for birthday parties, corporate team-building events, school trips, and group outings. The venue offers customizable group event packages that can be tailored to specific goals, whether that’s boosting morale, launching a new initiative, or simply rewarding a team. Corporate groups can turn mini-golf into a tournament, run go-kart relays, or strategize together in a laser tag battle. For families, the park is a go-to spot for kids’ birthday parties, with fun card packages that load credits onto each guest’s play card. The mix of outdoor and indoor attractions means celebrations can be built around laser tag, mini-golf, bowling, or any combination of the park’s many offerings. It’s a venue that works just as well for a child’s party as it does for a company off-site.

A Crew That Keeps the Fun Rolling

The staff at Frankie’s of Charlotte are a big part of why the place runs so smoothly. An experienced team of facilitators helps plan and coordinate group events, from selecting the right activities to guiding teams through exercises and managing logistics from start to finish. For corporate bookings, there’s a dedicated group sales team that handles reservations and food packages. The park also keeps security on site to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for everyone, and reviewers consistently describe the staff as friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, the crew is there to make sure the day goes off without a hitch.

Room to Relax and Celebrate

When the games wind down, there’s plenty of space to gather and celebrate. The Lounge offers semi-private seating for groups from 20 up to 120 people, while Frankie’s Café provides two semi-private party areas with seating for up to 50 guests and a 90-foot screen TV plus six other flat-screens for meetings and parties. The Patio is a covered outdoor area with heating and air conditioning that seats up to 200 people, or 300 reception-style, with a view of the park. For larger or more formal gatherings, the Event Room offers private seating for 50 people (75 reception-style), a private bar, and AV equipment. A food court and a range of group food packages — from casual snack menus to upscale dining — round out the experience, so guests can refuel between rounds without leaving the venue.
