The first 90 minutes are spent doing sports, attractions, or games and the last 30 minutes in the party room / area. NEW IN 2025! Not enough? Add 30 minutes of extra activity time to the Deluxe Package for $50. Extra participant fee increases $5 per additional 30 minutes.

FLEX Party is ideal for older kids and groups who want the freedom and flexibility to choose their own Attractions without having any specific pre booked Attractions or times to do their preferred activities. FLEX Party provides each participant a $40 Game / Ride Card to be used to purchase available Attractions and/or Games & Rides based on each guest’s personal preferences. Additional funds can be added to the Game Cards.

About

Sports Connection is a family entertainment center in the Ballantyne district of south Charlotte, with additional locations on Granite Street and in the Northlake area of the city.

 

A Playground Built for the Whole Family

Sports Connection has grown into one of Charlotte’s best-loved spots for parties and family outings, and it has the reputation to prove it — the venue has been voted the best place in Charlotte to host a birthday party. The center brings together arcade games, bowling lanes, laser tag, a ropes course, golf simulators and a Jump-N-Play area, all under one roof, so there is genuinely something for every age group on any given visit. Beyond the attractions, the facility is deeply woven into the local community. It is the proud sponsor of the Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club, which teaches and coaches more than 4,000 girls ages 3 to 18 each year, and it also hosts Pickleball Charlotte, the city’s home for the fast-growing sport of pickleball. That mix of pure entertainment and real athletic programming gives the venue a lively, welcoming energy that families return to again and again.

 

Laser Tag in a High-Tech Arena

The laser tag experience at the Ballantyne location is a highlight for kids and adults alike. Each session includes three games played in a high-tech arena filled with ultraviolet lights, fog, laser beams, music and special effects. Players move through a briefing room where a team leader explains the equipment and rules, then into a vesting room to gear up before stepping into the glowing arena. The arena itself is designed for strategy and movement, with base stations to capture, opponents to tag and other targets to hit for points. Sessions run every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour, and each game can be played as two teams or as individual play. Up to 44 players can join a single session, and trained Sports Connection marshals stay throughout the arena at all times to keep the experience safe and enjoyable for everyone.

 

More Than Just Games

Sports Connection is a one-stop destination for celebrations and group events. Custom party packages let families tailor a birthday, graduation or team celebration to their own needs, and the venue is well equipped for corporate outings, youth groups and other organizations with special group rates. All parties and group events are held indoors across the three Charlotte locations, which makes planning easy regardless of the weather. The facility also runs a full slate of camps and clinics throughout the year, including summer camps, holiday camps and spring and fall break camps. These programs are held indoors in air-conditioned spaces and are offered at all three locations, giving parents a reliable, fun option for school breaks and busy seasons.

 

A Place to Gather, Play and Relax

Beyond the attractions, Sports Connection offers plenty of room to unwind. The on-site cafe serves food and drinks, and there are comfortable areas where families and groups can sit down between games or after a round of laser tag. Bowling lanes can be reserved online in advance, so groups can make sure their lane is ready when they arrive. The venue is a natural fit for birthdays, corporate team-building events, school outings and family get-togethers. With its combination of active games, arcade fun, sports leagues and event spaces, it works just as well for a casual afternoon with the kids as it does for a larger organized celebration.
