About
The Northwest’s Oldest Indoor Airsoft Facility in South Tacoma
Tacoma Airsoft Center is located in South Tacoma, Washington, along South Tacoma Way near Sawyer Street. The club started in 2003 under the name Battlesim and has been running indoor airsoft for more than a decade and a half. It calls itself the Northwest’s oldest and largest indoor airsoft facility, with a retail store and a field under one operation.
A 30,000-Square-Foot Close-Quarters Field That Keeps Changing
The facility covers about 30,000 square feet of close-quarters battle space. Reviewers describe a constantly changing CQB field with many game modes, so groups face a different layout and objectives from one visit to the next. Visitors mention a safe and welcoming space that attracts a mix of newcomers and experienced players, and one wrote that the arena is hands down one of the best places to play airsoft. Reviewers also note a wet floor in places, so good footwear helps.
Friday Night Fights and Weekend Sessions
Public play runs in scheduled sessions from Friday through Sunday. Friday Night Fights run from 7 to 11 in the evening, and weekend days are split into two sessions, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 2:30 to 6:30 pm. All-day weekend and winter session passes are offered for regulars. The club notes that the latest schedule and prices are posted on its website, and that some sessions are pre-registered. Visitors should check the schedule before driving to the field.
Rentals, a Retail Store, and Strict Safety Rules<
Players without equipment can rent a gun, a mask, and BBs as a package, and goggles, gloves, and armor are available as add-ons. A retail store at the same address sells airsoft guns, gear, and field BBs, and the staff can help newcomers choose equipment. Safety rules are strict. Players must use .20-gram field BBs only, replicas must stay in a case until inside the building, the field limit is 330 FPS, and full-seal eye protection is required at all times on the field.
Private Parties and Gel Blaster Events
The club hosts private events for birthdays, teams, and other groups, with two-, three-, and four-hour options. A gel blaster party gives younger players a gentler option for ages 6 and up, with a private field and a party room. Reviewers who played at a birthday event praised the helpful staff, and one wrote that a private event was well run. The club also runs its own online social platform for trading airsoft gear.
