Where Woods and Strategy Meet
Crossfire Paintball & Airsoft MN spreads across 40 acres of natural woodland in Clearwater, with an additional 8 acres in Sioux Falls, SD. The airsoft side alone boasts over 30 dedicated acres featuring five distinct fields. This is not a flat, featureless lot — the terrain is thick with trees, rolling ground, and the kind of cover that makes every move feel tactical. Paintballers will find forts, walls, trenches, and bunkers scattered throughout the woods, while airsoft players rotate through five uniquely designed fields that keep the experience fresh from one weekend to the next. The fields are well-maintained and built for immersion. Whether you are pushing through a treeline or holding a fortified position, the layout encourages both aggressive play and careful planning. New game scenarios are introduced regularly, so repeat visitors rarely run the same mission twice.
Paintball and Airsoft Under One Canopy
The club offers both paintball and airsoft, each with its own dedicated space and equipment. Paintball options include standard .68 caliber, low-impact .50 caliber for younger or newer players, and gel blasters for kids aged 8 and up. Airsoft is run separately with its own fields, chrono station, and safety protocols — including a detailed minimum engagement distance system and full-face protection requirements for minors. Walk-on games run every Saturday and most Sundays, with gates opening at 10:00 AM and play from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Private parties can be scheduled on the 1st, 3rd, or 5th Sundays of each month. The airsoft side is recognized as the oldest continuously operating airsoft field in Minnesota, with over a decade of experience behind it.
Built for Groups, Built for Celebrations
Crossfire is a natural fit for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate outings, and team-building events. Private parties of 8 or more can reserve the field with a dedicated event fee, and groups of 10, 15, or 20+ receive tiered discounts. For parties of 15 or more, one person’s package is complimentary — a thoughtful touch for the guest of honor or the organizer. The staff has years of experience running group events and understands how to balance safety with fun. They handle everything from equipment orientation to refereeing, so the host can focus on enjoying the day. Large groups of 40 or more can request a custom quote by email.
Gear, Rentals, and Everything In Between
For those without their own equipment, the rental packages are comprehensive. Paintball rentals include a semi-auto Tippmann marker, thermal lens mask, pod pack, unlimited high-pressure air, and 500 paintballs — with extra paint available by the bag. Airsoft rentals come with an M4 AEG, battery, two hi-cap magazines, full face mask and goggles, and unlimited .20 gram BBs. Additional rental items include upgraded Tippmann A-5 markers, GoPro cameras (you keep the SD card), and camo BDU sets. There is also a chronograph station on-site to check velocity, HPA air fills, and battery charging for airsoft players. The staging area serves as a safe zone where players can gear up, store belongings, and regroup between matches.
A Place That Knows Its Players
The team at Crossfire has been running games for over ten years, and it shows in the details. Military, police, fire, and EMS personnel receive a 10% discount. Students can show a good report card for a discount as well. The rules are clear and enforced with a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe behavior, but the atmosphere remains welcoming — regulars and first-timers play side by side. The club also offers team training sessions for groups looking to sharpen their skills, and special events and tournaments are held throughout the year. Whether someone is stepping onto a paintball field for the first time or a seasoned airsoft veteran looking for a well-run weekend game, Crossfire provides a setting that respects both the sport and the people who play it.
