Where the Battle Begins
Indy Battleground Paintball is located in Greenwood, Indiana, just a short drive south of Indianapolis. Situated off South State Road 37, the field is easy to reach for residents of Greenwood, Indianapolis, and the surrounding Central Indiana communities. It sits on a spacious outdoor property that gives players plenty of room to spread out, gear up, and dive into the action.
Seven Themed Worlds to Conquer
The club boasts seven distinct, themed playing fields, each offering a completely different tactical experience. The City (also called Blackwater City) is an abandoned urban landscape with cars, storefronts, and city streets that create close-quarters engagements. The Airstrip and The Brig feature clusters of buildings that reward strategic movement and coordinated team pushes. Bootleg drops players into a wooded area with a fortified cabin and barrel barricades, perfect for woodland-style skirmishes. Hyper-Pipe Field lives up to its name with a maze of large drainage pipes that serve as unpredictable cover. Speedball is set up with inflatable air bunkers for fast-paced, tournament-style play. Finally, The Village (Valken Village) rounds out the lineup with a rustic, small-town setup that encourages creative flanking. With this variety, no two games ever feel the same.
Games for Every Style and Skill Level
Indy Battleground offers traditional .68 caliber paintball for players aged 10 and up, as well as Low Impact paintball for ages seven and up — a gentler option that uses smaller paintballs and pump-action markers, making it a fantastic choice for younger players, families, or anyone who wants the thrill without the sting. Airsoft open play is also available on select days, giving fans of that sport a place to test their accuracy. The club regularly hosts themed events like Zombie Hunts, adding a seasonal twist to the regular rotation. Walk-ins are welcome, and the staff can mix solo players into teams so nobody sits on the sidelines.
Built for Celebrations and Team Building
This is a go-to spot for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate team building, church and youth group outings, and school events. Private party packages include a dedicated referee, a private party area, and even a gift for the guest of honor. The staff works closely with organizers to tailor the experience to the group's size and goals, whether that means a few hours of private play followed by open play or a full facility rental for larger crowds. The atmosphere is welcoming and low-pressure, making it easy for first-timers and seasoned players alike to have a great time.
Friendly Faces and Clean Gear
The team at Indy Battleground takes pride in keeping rental equipment sanitized after every use — masks, markers, and chest protectors are cleaned between players so everyone feels safe suiting up. The owner is often on-site and hands-on, and regulars frequently mention the helpful, personable staff in their reviews. Whether a marker needs a quick fix or a new player needs a rundown of the rules, the crew is ready to assist with a smile.
Relax and Refuel Between Rounds
The facility includes a covered staging area with plenty of picnic tables where players can rest, grab a snack, and relive the best moments of the last match. It is a comfortable spot for parents to watch, for groups to gather before and after games, and for everyone to recharge before heading back onto the field. The whole setup encourages a social, community feel — the kind of place where players hang around long after the last paintball has been fired.
