About

5th Dimension VR is located in the heart of downtown White Plains, in Westchester County, New York, just a short stroll from the city’s main transit station. It’s a bright, open-plan arcade that has grown into one of the region’s most popular destinations for virtual reality play, welcoming families, friends, and coworkers from across the county.

A Universe of Games, All Under One Roof

The heart of the experience is a library of more than 55 titles, and the great majority of them are multiplayer, so the whole group plays together rather than watching one person at a time. Tactical fans will find plenty to sink their teeth into: cooperative zombie shooters like Arizona Sunshine, After The Fall, and The Walking Dead put survival on the line, while the virtual paintball arena in Rec Room lets up to 18 players square off in fast, friendly firefights. Beyond the shooters, the selection stretches into escape rooms, puzzle adventures, exploration games, and active fighting titles. There are also crowd-pleasers like Beat Saber, Elven Assassin, Creed, and the playful party game Loco Dojo. With single-player and cooperative options across so many genres, there is genuinely something for every taste and skill level, from first-timers to seasoned gamers.

An Arena Built for Playing Together

The space is arranged around 18 dedicated VR stations, which means a full group can play at the same time with no long waits between turns. The open layout encourages interaction rather than isolated play, and comfortable seating surrounds the gaming zones so spectators can cheer on their friends or simply enjoy the action. Two private party rooms offer a dedicated space for food, cake, and presents, complete with a handy kitchenette, fridge, and freezer. Safety is clearly a priority here. Advanced movement tracking monitors players in real time to prevent collisions during intense sessions, and the staff walk every guest through a thorough safety tutorial before they step into a virtual world. It’s a setup that lets players focus on the fun without worrying about the details.

Parties, Celebrations, and Team Building

Birthday parties are a specialty, with packages designed for kids ages 8 and up as well as teens, plus Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and other milestone gatherings. The all-inclusive approach means the venue handles the food, drinks, decorations, and even the cleanup, leaving hosts free to enjoy the day. As a nice touch, every player receives a personalized two-minute “best-of” video clip of their gameplay as a keepsake of the adventure. Corporate groups are equally well served, with team-building experiences built around cooperative missions, virtual escape rooms, and shared challenges that genuinely bring people together. Whether it’s saving humanity from a zombie horde or solving puzzles as a unit, the cooperative games encourage communication and collaboration in a way that feels more like play than work.

The People Behind the Headsets

The venue was founded by Andrew Szczeszynski and Yan Zhang, whose shared vision was to create a space where people of all ages could come together for fun, collaboration, and friendly competition. That welcoming spirit carries through to the staff, who are frequently praised in reviews for being friendly, attentive, and especially good with kids. Dedicated game hosts guide guests through setup and gameplay to make sure everyone gets the most out of their session, and the team is known for clear communication in the weeks leading up to an event and smooth execution on the day itself. Reviewers consistently mention how clean and well-maintained the space is, and how responsive the staff are to any questions or issues that come up.

Beyond the Game: Community and Comfort

The arcade is more than just a place to play; it’s a community hub. Regular themed nights like Social Tuesdays encourage guests to dress up and enjoy discounted rates, while Social Fridays host friendly competitions in popular multiplayer titles. There are also educational offerings, including STEAM workshops that explore game design, coding basics, and digital art through hands-on VR activities, plus summer programs, after-school sessions, and holiday camps. For those planning a visit, there’s a seven-story municipal parking garage directly across the street, with some limited on-street parking nearby. Between the party rooms, spectator seating, and a calendar full of events, it’s a venue that works just as well for a casual afternoon with friends as it does for a full-scale celebration.
