Utah’s Oldest and Largest Paintball Field, Open Since 1993

Action Center Paintball is located in Mountain Green, Utah, in the Morgan County mountains east of Ogden, along Cottonwood Canyon Road. The family-owned park opened in March 1993 and calls itself Utah’s oldest and largest outdoor paintball field. It has hosted tournaments and scenario games large enough to rival major events, including games with working tanks and missiles with recovery parachutes.

A 360-Degree Field Over More Than 30 Acres

The park has two wide and large playing fields over more than 30 acres, and the main field is a 360-degree layout, one of the only ones in the area. Players can be attacked from any direction, which makes every game unpredictable. Special setups add variety, including a themed castle field for scenario games, a hyperball and speedball field with inflatable bunkers and tubing, and a competitive tournament-style speedball field. A speedball warm-up area sits just above the safe zone.

A Safe Zone With Shade, Picnic Tables, and a Shooting Range

Between games, players rest in a safe zone with grass, shade trees, picnic tables, flushing restrooms, wash water, and drinking water. A dedicated shooting range lets players practice on targeted structures with paintball markers. The park is a full-service field that provides all the gear and runs the games. It also sells most brands of paintball equipment, so players can pick up a mask, marker, or tank, preferably after calling ahead to check what is in stock.

Public Games, Private Groups, and After-Hours Sessions&lt

Action Center Paintball is a reservation field, so games happen when they are scheduled on the online calendar. Public games are open to single players and small groups who may be combined with others. Private games close the field to everyone but the booked group. Walk-on players can join public games with only three hours’ notice, and players with their own equipment can join for a day fee that includes all-day air. The field also offers after-hours sessions and rents the whole field for large events.

Team Building, Birthdays, and Family Reunions

The park hosts team-building outings, birthday parties, scouts, and family reunions, with groups of children as young as 10 joining adults. Reviewers say a group of eight with children as young as 10 had a blast and called the two-hour session perfect for them. One company group said the field felt just like it did 20 years earlier and recommended it for team building. Players must be at least 10 years old and use field paint only. Low-impact paintball is not offered.
