    About

AGR Sports Adventure Park sits in Houston’s Northside neighborhood at 1300 East 40th Street, not far from the Heights, with a second, larger location in nearby Katy. It’s an indoor, climate-controlled adventure park that has grown from a paintball-focused venue into a full entertainment complex.

    A Playground of Tactical Adventures

The heart of AGR Sports is its lineup of shooting games, each tuned to a different crowd. Low-impact indoor paintball uses water-based, low-impact paint and custom markers, making it gentle enough for kids ages 9 and up while still feeling like a real battle. For the youngest players, Miniball offers lightweight automatic blasters with no mess and no pain, welcoming kids as young as four. Beyond paintball, the park runs tactical laser tag in several styles — sniper play without vests, classic vest-based games, and a hybrid sport mode played on a speedball field. There’s also Bazooka Ball, which fires soft foam balls, Nerf War with foam darts, and airsoft at the Katy location for ages 12 and up. Axe throwing rounds out the roster with 18 unique targets across seven interactive target styles.

An Arena Built for Action and Spectators

The indoor fields are designed with both players and onlookers in mind. Paintball arenas feature inflatable bunkers, paint-splattered vehicles, and plenty of cover for strategy, all surrounded by large protective glass panels and safety netting. That means parents and friends can watch every round safely from the lounge while staying completely protected from paint. Laser tag makes use of the same spaces, including a paintball-style speedball field for fast, competitive matches. Everything is climate-controlled, so games run comfortably year-round regardless of Houston’s heat. The layout supports both open play, where groups are matched by age bracket, and private rotation for those who want the field to themselves.

Scenarios That Keep the Action Fresh

AGR Sports doesn’t rely on a single game mode. Laser tag alone offers dozens of scenarios — Capture the Flag, Sniper, Save the President, Infection, and Zombies, among more than 50 options. Paintball games are referee-led, with professional staff supervising every round and organizing players by age and skill level. For those who want a bigger experience, the park runs seasonal events like the immersive Zombie Hunt haunted house experience each October. The variety means repeat visitors rarely play the same game twice, and first-timers get guided, structured matches that make learning easy.

    More Than a Battlefield

When the shooting stops, the fun continues. Both locations pack in classic and modern arcade machines, from racing simulators and basketball hoops to shooting games. The Houston venue also offers pool tables, and guests can bring their own food and drinks for a laid-back vibe. The Katy location takes it further with a full bar and restaurant serving wings, tenders, and a wide drink selection, plus a food-and-bar space where guests can watch sports. Between rounds, players can relax in the spectator lounge, and party rooms and private event spaces are available for larger gatherings.

Made for Celebrations and Team Days

AGR Sports is built around group events. Birthday parties are a specialty, with packages that include multiple activities, food and drink options, and reserved party tables for up to three hours. Corporate events range from small team outings to company-wide celebrations, with private event spaces, food packages, and bar service available in Houston, Katy, or even at your own location. The venue also handles school events, youth and church groups, family gatherings, and bachelor parties. The staff — frequently praised in reviews for being friendly, patient, and helpful — includes referees who supervise games and employees known for teaching first-timers the ropes and even joining in when asked. It’s a place where both seasoned players and complete beginners feel welcome.
