About

Nine Fields of Pure Adrenaline

Spread across 6.6 acres of open California land, American Paintball Park offers nine distinct playing fields designed to keep things fresh for both first-timers and seasoned veterans. Each field has its own personality. There is the Spools field, built around industrial cable spools that create tight angles and close-quarters firefights. The Back Diamond field offers a more open layout with scattered bunkers for fast-paced movement. The Door field introduces a unique vertical element with door-shaped obstacles that players can use for quick pop-and-shoot tactics. For those who enjoy structured objectives, the Attack & Defend field sets one team against another in a classic siege-style format, while the Four Corner field splits the action into quadrants, forcing teams to control territory and communicate across the map. Every field is rotated and maintained regularly, and the park includes a dedicated chrono area and a shooting range where players can test their markers and dial in their accuracy before stepping onto the field.

Game Scenarios for Every Style of Play

The park runs a continuous main game for walk-on players and small groups that grows and shrinks naturally as people arrive and leave throughout the day. This open-play format is the heart of the park’s recreational paintball scene, where solo players can jump into a game alongside others and make new friends between rounds. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with an emphasis on fun rather than fierce competition. For groups looking for something more structured, the park offers private party packages with dedicated play time and customized scenarios. The Bronze, Silver, and Gold packages provide one, two, or three hours of play respectively, each with increasing paintball counts and equipment included. All private parties come with masks that players get to keep as a memento, which is a thoughtful touch for first-timers who might want to start building their own gear collection. The park also offers portable laser tag, which can be booked for off-site events.

Built for Celebrations and Team Building

American Paintball Park is a natural fit for birthday parties, bachelor and bachelorette gatherings, corporate team-building events, church group outings, summer camp trips, and even training exercises for organizations. The private party model works well for groups of ten or more, with the ability to add extra players to any package. The park accommodates groups of all sizes any day of the week, though weekend reservations need to be booked at least a week in advance. Walk-on players must be at least 12 years old, while private parties can include players as young as 10. Players 17 and under need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver. The park welcomes self-equipped players as well, with a lower entry fee for those who bring their own marker and HPA tank. Self-equipped players can also bring their own paintballs for the main game, though certain fill colors are restricted to keep the fields safe and the equipment clean.

The People Behind the Mask

The park is owned and operated by Clif Mathews, who has been running the place with a hands-on approach since day one. His philosophy is simple: paintball is a game, and it is supposed to be fun. That sentiment carries through the entire staff, from the referees who keep the games safe and fair to the front-line team that helps new players get geared up and comfortable. Reviews consistently mention the friendliness and helpfulness of the crew, with regulars noting that the staff goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, whether it is someone’s first time holding a marker or a returning player with their own gear. The park is a family operation in the truest sense, and that personal touch shows in how the fields are maintained, how the equipment is cared for, and how the community of regular players has grown over the years. Many visitors drive over an hour to play here, citing the atmosphere and the people as the main draw.

More Than Just a Battlefield

Beyond the fields themselves, the park provides a comfortable base camp for a full day out. There is a shaded staging area where players can rest between games, picnic tables for lunch breaks, and handicap-accessible restrooms. Cleaning stations are available to keep markers in good working order, and the park sells refreshments on-site, though bringing a water bottle and a snack is always a good idea. A pro shop stocks paintballs, gear, and accessories for purchase, so players can stock up before or during their visit. The park is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 4 PM, with weekday availability for private parties by reservation. It is the kind of place where you can show up solo, join the main game, and leave with new friends, or bring a whole crew for a private event and have the run of the fields. Either way, the focus stays on having a good time in a safe, controlled environment.
