Andretti Indoor Karting & Games The Colony

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games sits in The Colony, Texas, inside the sprawling Grandscape development in the North Dallas area. It’s a two-story, roughly 110,000-square-foot entertainment complex that has become a neighborhood anchor for racing fans and families alike.

Where Racing Legends Are Made

The heart of the venue is a multi-level indoor karting circuit that climbs across three stories, with the highest point reaching about 40 feet above the floor. Designed by 360 Karting, the track combines two separate circuits — roughly 730 and 980 feet long — that weave together with banked semi-ovals, dive-under and fly-over crossings, spiral ramps, hairpin turns, and long straightaways. It’s a genuinely technical layout that rewards repeat visits. The fleet runs on high-performance electric karts, so there’s no engine noise or fumes, just clean, instant torque. Adult karts top out around 35 mph, with intermediate, junior, and Mini Mario classes for younger drivers, each with adjustable seats and pedals. Arrive-and-drive racing means you can walk in, sign a waiver, and hit the track with no prior experience required.

More Than Just a Track

When you’re ready to step off the asphalt, the complex offers a two-story, 4,000-square-foot laser tag arena powered by Delta Strike technology. The blacklight battleground features multiple base stations, energy gates for power-ups, and interactive wall targets, with more than ten game modes including team-versus-team and zombie mode. Players can customize their own weapon settings mid-game. Beyond laser tag, there’s a massive arcade with over 150 games, duckpin bowling lanes, immersive VR experiences through Hologate and Hyperdeck, 7D Xperience motion rides, professional racing simulators, and an indoor ropes course with zip lines. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend a full afternoon bouncing between attractions.

Fuel Up and Unwind

Food is a real part of the experience here. The on-site Fresh Kitchen serves up made-from-scratch burgers, sandwiches, and shareable bites, with a menu crafted by an award-winning chef. There’s a full bar with signature cocktails, and the Sky Bar offers drinks with a view over the track — a great spot to watch races while you recharge. After a few laps, guests can relax in the lounge areas, grab a milkshake, or just soak in the neon-lit atmosphere. The whole venue is climate-controlled, so it’s comfortable year-round no matter the Texas weather outside.

Celebrations Built for the Whole Crew

This is a go-to destination for birthdays, corporate outings, team-building events, graduations, and bachelor or bachelorette parties. The venue offers private party rooms, customizable packages for kids, teens, and adults, and a dedicated party host who handles the details so the guest of honor can just enjoy the day. For corporate groups, there are customizable packages for teams of any size, private event spaces with AV capabilities, and elevated catering. A dedicated event coordinator works with you from the first inquiry through event day, and full-venue buyouts are available for larger gatherings. Many local companies return year after year for their annual team outings.

Friendly Faces Behind the Fun

Reviewers consistently mention the warm, professional, and knowledgeable staff. From the front counter to the track marshals, the team is known for being helpful with newcomers and attentive to safety. Track marshals monitor every race and can even help confident drivers advance to faster race classes as they demonstrate safe, controlled driving. The venue is kept clean and well organized, and staff are quick to help with waivers, gear, and any questions. Whether it’s a first-time racer or a seasoned visitor, guests describe the atmosphere as welcoming and safe for all ages.
