Where You’ll Find the Action
Arnold’s Family Fun Center sits in the small town of Oaks, Pennsylvania, just off the Oaks exit of Route 422 and only about six miles from the PA Turnpike. It’s located directly across from the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, flanked by the Oaks Center Cinema and the American Treasure Tour Museum, making the area a convenient stop for a day trip or weekend outing in any weather. The venue began in 1980 when Ed Arnold invented a super-fast charging electric go-kart battery, which made indoor electric karting possible. What started as a go-kart track in the old BF Goodrich Tire Factory building has grown over 45 years into one of the largest indoor family fun centers in the United States, with more than 144,000 square feet of attractions and free parking.
Two Arenas, Two Very Different Battles
Laser tag is the second most popular attraction at Arnold’s, and the venue offers two distinct arenas. Phaser Force is the classic high-energy arena that outfits up to 20 players with slimline, breathable vests and phasers, each vest carrying six hit sensors on the front and back. It’s recommended for ages 5 and up and is fully wheelchair-accessible, so nearly anyone can join the fight. For those seeking a more intense experience, Area 2200 is a tactical, haunted laser tag arena built for adrenaline seekers and recommended for ages 13 and up. Designed for up to 12 players per game, it delivers immersive combat simulation with intense special effects, terrifying animatronics, and startling sights and sounds around every corner. Players wield high-tech phasers modeled after real AK-47s with built-in targeting systems, and no vest is required. When hit, gear temporarily deactivates for three seconds before you’re back in the action, and individual scores are tracked by weapon number and displayed on a TV leaderboard outside the arena.
Beyond the Battlefield
While laser tag draws plenty of visitors, Arnold’s is a full entertainment destination. The venue is famous for its all-electric indoor go-karts across five fleets on two tracks, and it also features 20 regulation-style bowling lanes, billiards, bumper cars, bounce zones, a high-rise ropes course, a rock wall, and an XD motion theater. The arcade holds more than 100 games, from timeless classics to cutting-edge titles. The newest additions keep things fresh. The Reef is a nine-hole black light mini golf course with a serene underwater theme, and the axe-throwing attraction by Lasertron offers four steel lanes with wooden targets and dozens of laser-projected games. On the bowling center side, the Water Tower Live music venue hosts live rock shows every weekend, complete with a dedicated bar, dance floor, and pool tables.
Made for Celebrations and Gatherings
Arnold’s is well suited to birthdays, corporate teambuilding, family reunions, retirement parties, rehearsal dinners, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and holiday parties. Kids’ birthday parties start at $22 per paid guest with a minimum of 10 guests, while adult party packages begin at $24.50 per paid guest. Dedicated party planners and booking specialists help arrange everything, and full-service catering is available for groups of 15 or more, with open bar options for catered events. The venue can host thousands of guests for large group events and private buyouts, with in-house catering and bar service. Private rentals are available in the banquet room, the Water Tower soundstage, and other areas, and the facility can even be bought out entirely, especially on days when it’s closed to the public.
Refuel and Relax Between Games
There’s no admission fee at Arnold’s, so you can stay all day and refuel at Arnold’s Café, which serves hot food favorites, ice cream, slushies, artisan candy, and coffee drinks, plus a fully stocked bar for adults. You can even order food from your phone and get a text when it’s ready. The bowling center side adds the Water Tower Live venue with its own dedicated bars and dance floor. For those planning a longer stay, the Oaks Adventure Pass bundles attractions at Arnold’s with a movie ticket and concessions at Oaks Center Cinema and admission to the American Treasure Tour Museum, along with discounted hotel rates at four partner properties. It’s a convenient way to turn a visit into a full weekend getaway.
