About
A 56,000-Square-Foot Hub Inside a San Antonio Mall
ARs Entertainment Hub is located inside the Wonderland of the Americas mall in Balcones Heights, San Antonio, near Loop 410 and Interstate 10. It opened on January 7, 2023, as the second location of a family-owned venue that began in Baytown. The owner has said the goal is to offer families timeless entertainment where fun is for all ages, and the renovated mall space gives the center room for many activities under one roof.
Laser Tag, Laser Frenzy, and Valo Arena
Laser tag is one of the main team games here. Players move through an arena, tag opponents, and score points, and visitors describe it as a safe, well-managed arena. The attraction is included in the center’s main pass. Next to it is Laser Frenzy, a maze of moving laser beams with four game types: Spy, Team Spy, Beam Dodger, and Beam Breaker. Players bend and glide around the beams to complete a mission with the highest score. Valo Arena, Super Grid, and an XR arena for virtual reality round out the interactive options.
Skating, Blacklight Mini Golf, and a Two-Story Playground
A roller skating rink hosts races and music for all skill levels, and a blacklight mini golf course gives groups a quieter game. A 5,000-square-foot, two-story soft playground suits children up to 56 inches tall, which gives parents a place to relax while younger guests burn off energy. Other attractions include a 5D Sky Rider ride for guests at least 43 inches tall, a QBIX gaming box, billiards, and an arcade with virtual reality and prize games.
Birthdays With a Dedicated Party Host
Birthday parties are a major focus, with private party rooms or reserved tables, a dedicated host, and a game card for every guest. Reviewers praise named team members for taking care of the details, and describe modern party rooms with Bluetooth audio and adjustable blacklight lighting.
The center also runs adult social parties for groups of ten or more, and corporate events. A monthly membership lets guests use the main pass every day the center is open for the price of one pass, with discounts on food and parties.
A Bistro and Bar Between Activities
ARs Bistro serves food and drinks, and a bar offers adult beverages. Guests can eat without leaving the center, and members receive a discount on bistro purchases. Reviewers describe the facility as clean, with plenty of comfortable seating for participants and spectators, and on weekdays the center is often not crowded.
