About

A Downtown Bremerton VR Arcade Among the Country’s First

Beyond Reality is located in downtown Bremerton, Washington, in Kitsap County across Puget Sound from Seattle, on 4th Street. The owner, a Navy member named Justin Able, opened one of the first 50 VR arcades in the entire United States. He also runs Beyond Karaoke, a cyberpunk-themed karaoke club, and the two businesses together form a small family entertainment complex in the heart of downtown.

 

Six VR Stations and More Than 70 Games

The arcade has six VR stations and a library of more than 70 games, which players can try solo or with friends. Options include racing simulators, shooters, role-playing games, escape rooms, and the popular walk-the-plank experience that puts players on a narrow board high above a city. Reviewers describe the staff as friendly and knowledgeable, and one visitor called it very different from other arcade experiences. The venue is suitable for ages 8 and up, and the entrance is accessible.

 

A Retro Gaming Lounge Between Sessions

Beyond the headsets, the venue has a retro gaming lounge with classic arcade cabinets and consoles. Visitors who are not playing can watch the action on screens or spend time on 2D games, so groups do not have to split up when someone is waiting. The interior is described as massive, with space for group play and birthday parties and different sections for different types of gaming setups.

 

Whole-Arcade Rentals for Parties and Corporate Groups

Groups can rent the whole arcade for private use, including all six VR stations, for up to 16 players. The downtown business association describes the rental as a way to level up a party, and it works for birthdays, company outings, and groups of friends. Children under 7 who attend a rental must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Guests may bring their own snacks and drinks, and food can be ordered for convenience.

 

Karaoke Next Door and a Walkable Downtown

Beyond Karaoke is next door, which makes the pair a natural night out for friends who want games and singing. Downtown Bremerton is walkable, with restaurants and shops nearby, and the ferry terminal is a short walk away.
