Bill’s Xtreme Adventure

Bill’s Xtreme Adventure is located in Marionville, Missouri, roughly 25 miles outside Springfield in the southwest corner of the state. It is a family-owned operation that has been running since 2006, started by graduates of College of the Ozarks who first offered paintball to private church groups and grew from there into one of the region’s best-known outdoor adventure providers.

More Than One Way to Battle

The club built its name on paintball and outdoor laser tag, but the lineup has grown well beyond those two classics. Today guests can also try battle bows, an archery-tag style game that plays like dodgeball with foam-tipped arrows, and a mobile video game trailer for those who prefer a screen to a battlefield. Everything is run as a private party, meaning your group gets the whole course or setup to itself rather than sharing with strangers. Laser tag here uses taggers similar to the equipment police and military use for training, which gives the games a genuinely tactical feel. Scenarios That Keep You Thinking

The game library is broad and mission-focused. Laser tag players can run SWAT-style scenarios with hostage boxes, medic boxes, ammo boxes, and domination tubes, often set up through buildings and schools for a realistic feel. Capture the flag, elimination, domination, and sniper games are all regulars, and the club even offers a .50 caliber laser tag machine gun billed as one of the biggest in the world. Paintball games come with plenty of suggestions from the staff, with flags brought out for capture the flag and domination matches. Battle bows add their own twist, where catching an arrow in mid-air takes the shooter out and hits are far gentler than paintball or airsoft. The referees focus on safety first and keeping the energy high.

Beyond the Battlefield

The club has expanded into a full event provider. The mobile video game trailer seats up to 20 players at once in a climate-controlled, limousine-style interior with a large library of games across Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Wii, all run by a dedicated game coach. Combo packages even pair laser tag with video gaming in a single event. A pavilion with two picnic tables is available for groups that want to enjoy refreshments or open gifts during their scheduled time. The staff handles setup, refereeing, and teardown for mobile events, and the company gives 10% of profits to area nonprofits whenever it can.
