Charleston Fun Park sits in the Mount Pleasant area of South Carolina, along busy Highway 17, a short drive from downtown Charleston. It’s a family entertainment venue that combines outdoor attractions with a large indoor arcade and gaming space, making it a year-round destination for locals and visitors alike.
Speed, Skill, and Screens Under One Roof
The park’s heart is its mix of classic and modern attractions. High-speed go-karts run on a professional track with both single and double-seated karts, so younger riders can ride along with a licensed driver. Two themed 18-hole mini-golf courses wind under Spanish moss with water features and playful obstacles, a course locals have voted among Charleston’s best. Inside, an arcade with more than 50 games spans claw machines, air hockey, and modern video games. Bumper cars, a motion theater, mini-bowling, and a new gem and fossil mining sluice round out the lineup. For adults, an indoor axe-throwing lane with regulation targets and professional instruction adds a different kind of challenge.
The OMNI VR Battle Arena: Tactical Gaming at Its Best
The standout feature is the OMNI VR Battle Arena, a 360-degree virtual reality experience that’s unique to this park. Players step onto full-motion treadmills and move freely through an immersive environment, battling zombies, robots, or each other in fast-paced tactical matches. It’s a genuinely active form of gaming that blends strategy, teamwork, and physical movement. The arena supports groups of various sizes and is a favorite for friends who want a competitive, high-energy session. Participants can even receive a video of their battle to relive the experience afterward, which makes it a memorable addition to any visit.
Scenarios, Parties, and Group Programs
Birthday parties are a core part of the park’s identity, with packages that range from a simple reserved table with pizza and arcade play to a top-tier option offering 1.5 hours of unlimited go-karts, mini-golf, and arcade games. Add-ons include NERF target shooting, piñata fun, slime-making stations, axe-throwing sessions, and discounted OMNI VR arena access. Beyond birthdays, the event team handles school and youth groups, corporate events, holiday parties, family reunions, and fraternity or sorority gatherings. Events typically run two to four hours, with catering options from pizza to BBQ, and the team is open to customizing almost anything a group can imagine.
More Than a Game: Food, Rest, and Family Comfort
All that activity works up an appetite, and the on-site snack bar delivers with pizza slices, hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, Dippin’ Dots, ICEEs, and milkshakes. Adults can relax on the outdoor Galley patio with a beer or glass of wine while the kids keep playing, and a new outdoor play area gives younger tots a place to run around if the arcade gets overwhelming. Party tables are set up on picnic tables under a covered porch, keeping celebrations comfortable in most weather. The park also hosts seasonal community events and themed weekends throughout the year, adding to its role as a neighborhood gathering spot.
A Friendly, Hands-On Team
The staff at Charleston Fun Park are known for being approachable and helpful, from the go-kart attendants who get drivers buckled in to the axe-throwing instructors who walk newcomers through proper technique. The team is experienced at managing groups of all ages, which makes the park a comfortable choice for first-time visitors and regulars alike. Because the park serves everyone from toddlers to grandparents, the staff are practiced at pacing activities and keeping things safe and fun. Whether it’s a quick evening visit or a full-day celebration, the team works to keep the energy high and the experience smooth.
Built for Celebrations and Team Days
Charleston Fun Park is especially well suited to birthdays, school outings, corporate team-building days, and family reunions. The combination of competitive go-kart racing, cooperative VR battles, and relaxed mini-golf gives groups plenty of ways to bond and have fun together. The flexible event packages and catering options make it easy to plan a gathering without much stress. For families, the mix of indoor and outdoor activities means there’s always something to do regardless of weather, and the snack bar and patio make it easy to turn a few hours of play into a full outing.
