About

Cliff Edge Paintball is located just outside Spencer, Indiana, a short drive southwest of Bloomington and within easy reach of the Indianapolis area.

Four Unique Battle Zones to Explore

Cliff Edge Paintball offers four completely distinct game zones, each with its own personality and tactical challenges. The crown jewel is a sprawling 5-acre wooded field where a full-scale wooden fortress hides beneath the forest canopy — perfect for ambushes, flanking maneuvers, and immersive woodland combat. Players weave through natural terrain, using trees, hills, and the fortress itself as cover. In contrast, the speedball field features inflatable air bunkers arranged for fast-paced, tournament-style play on an open field. The spool field and pipe field round out the lineup, each presenting a different mix of obstacles like stacked spools, corrugated pipes, shape walls, and even repurposed vehicles. This variety ensures that every visit feels fresh, whether you prefer stealthy woodsball or quick snap-shooting in an airball setting.

Thoughtfully Designed Fields with Real Character

The playing surfaces at Cliff Edge are built with care and maintained regularly. The woodsball area feels genuinely wild, with natural elevation changes and dense cover that reward situational awareness. The speedball field is kept in tournament-ready condition, while the spool and pipe fields offer creative layouts that encourage teamwork and communication. Obstacles range from classic wooden bunkers and stacked barrels to more imaginative props that give each field its own identity. The owner and staff take pride in constantly tweaking and improving the layouts, so returning players often find something new to adapt to. Safety is clearly a priority — all fields are well-marked, and referees keep a close eye on the action.

Scenarios, Open Play, and Group Events

Beyond standard walk-on play, Cliff Edge Paintball runs themed scenario games that add objectives and storylines to the action. Capture-the-flag, ammo-can defense, and team elimination formats are regular favorites. The club is especially well-suited for private group events — birthday parties, bachelor parties, corporate team-building outings, and family reunions all find a natural home here. The staff works with groups to tailor the experience, whether that means setting up a specific scenario, mixing experienced players with first-timers, or organizing a multi-hour tournament. The atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming; beginners receive clear instruction, while seasoned players can jump into competitive games with their own gear.

Equipment Rentals and Pro Shop

For those who don’t own their own gear, Cliff Edge provides full rental packages including a paintball marker, mask, hopper, and HPA tank. The rental equipment is well-maintained — Tippmann 98 Customs are the standard, known for reliability and ease of use. A small on-site store carries essential paintball accessories, replacement parts, and paintballs. Players who bring their own equipment benefit from fair field fees and compressed air fills. The club operates on a “field paint only” policy, meaning all paint used must be purchased on-site, which helps maintain consistent quality and chronograph safety.

A Relaxed, Community-Focused Atmosphere

What sets Cliff Edge apart is the genuine sense of community. The owner, Corbin, is frequently mentioned by name in reviews as a fair, approachable, and safety-conscious host who genuinely wants everyone to have a great time. The referees and staff are described as knowledgeable, polite, and helpful — especially with new players who might be nervous about their first game. There is a shaded staging area where players can rest between matches, and basic refreshments are available. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate groups comfortably. The overall vibe is laid-back and welcoming: competitive when you want it to be, but never intimidating. It’s the kind of place where regulars and first-timers mix easily, and where the love of the sport comes first.
