Jacked-In VR

A Kid-Friendly Virtual Reality Center on Fredericksburg Road

Jacked-In VR is located on Fredericksburg Road on San Antonio’s near north side. The venue was founded by a local gamer who spent several years in San Francisco working in the video game industry before returning to San Antonio to start it. It calls itself the only VR center in the city designed with children in mind, and it specializes in kids’ birthday parties alongside games for teens and adults.

Free-Roam Zombie Survival With Full-Body Tracking

The main experiences are free-roam games with no cables. In After the Fall, which is offered only at this venue in San Antonio, players move through a post-apocalyptic city, wield virtual weapons with real movements, and fight zombie walkers, crawlers, exploders, and brutes before facing a boss. A session lasts about 30 minutes. The recommended age is 13 and older, and younger players may join with a parent’s permission. Groups larger than four are split into two teams that take turns, so everyone gets time in the headset.

Quantum Arena VR Laser Tag and a Catalog of 27 Games

The venue offers VR laser tag in Quantum Arena, where players battle each other over several rounds. Sessions can last three or five rounds, and the style suits teens and adults who want competition more than cooperation. In total, the catalog has 27 titles, from zombie shooters such as Sector X and The Last Stand to puzzle and escape games such as B-Block Breakout and Chronosphere Chronicles. Horror titles such as Phasmophobia round out the lineup, and games range from 10-minute minigames to 60-minute challenges.

Party Playland and Games Built for Young Players

Party Playland is a set of four kid-friendly minigames, and a controller-free mode lets children who are too small to hold controllers take part. Other family-friendly options include Ghost Patrol and Lunarscape Breakdown, so a mixed-age party can find something that suits everyone. Visitors describe a neon, black-light space with an 80s arcade theme and free minigames to play while waiting. Reviewers say the owner’s guidance made the experience enjoyable, and parents report that their children did not want to leave.

Birthday Parties, Team Building, and VR Summer Camp

Birthday parties are the venue’s specialty, and groups of up to 12 children can play at once, with others taking turns. Packages include two hours of unlimited games, a dedicated host, and a party area where families may bring a cake and decorations. The higher packages include a fully private venue. The same format works for corporate team building. The venue also runs the Virtual Explorers Camp, a five-day summer program for ages 7 to 14 that combines VR adventures with science, engineering, and art.
