Kidsports is very much alive and operating at 11 Evans Drive in Stoughton, MA. The facility was founded in June 1994 by Susan and David Greenblatt, longtime Stoughton residents, and continues to run as a combined indoor play center and state-licensed child care facility.

A Three-Story World of Discovery

The heart of Kidsports is its impressive three-story indoor climbing structure — a maze of tunnels, slides, and platforms that invites children to climb, crawl, and slide to their heart's content. The adventure challenge, as the team calls it, is designed to keep young bodies moving and young minds engaged. Alongside the climbing structure, the facility features a bouncy inflatable zone complete with a moonwalk and a three-lane slide, plus a dedicated area for toddlers with ride-on toys and a playhouse. Four mini bowling lanes (about two-thirds the size of a standard lane) with automated scoring add a classic family-friendly activity to the mix, and an arcade with games rounds out the active play options.

Laser Tag Adventures on the South Shore

The laser tag arena is one of the newer additions to Kidsports and has quickly become a favorite among older children and adults alike. The game combines stealth, strategy, and teamwork in a dedicated indoor space equipped with taggers and hit-detection systems. Scores are displayed with fun, engaging graphics, making each match feel like a real competitive event. Laser tag is available every weekend and on select weekdays depending on demand — it is always a good idea to call ahead if you are planning a weekday visit. For those who prefer a quieter creative outlet, plaster painting is also offered as an activity option, allowing children to take home a hand-painted souvenir.

Celebrations Built Around Play

Birthday parties at Kidsports are designed to be as stress-free as they are fun. Each party runs 90 minutes and includes 30 minutes of private activity time (gym time, laser tag, or plaster painting), 30 minutes in a private party room for cake and presents, and then unlimited access to the indoor playground and bouncy house for the rest of the stay. Party hosts are provided to guide the celebration, and families can choose from several package tiers that add pizza, drinks, arcade cards, goodie bags, and T-shirts for the birthday child. The facility also welcomes field trips and fundraisers, making it a versatile space for school groups and community organizations.

Rooted in the Community for Over Thirty Years

Kidsports was born from a simple idea: a local teacher and her husband wanted a safe, educational, and active place for children in Stoughton. Susan Greenblatt, a former third-grade teacher, and her husband David opened the first location on Washington Street more than two decades ago before moving to their current permanent home at the corner of Central Street and Evans Drive. Over the years, the facility has grown to include not just play areas but also a state-licensed child care center offering preschool, pre-kindergarten, after-school care, and a full-day summer program. The Greenblatts still run the place with a hands-on approach, and it is not uncommon to see former students returning with children — and even grandchildren — of their own.
