Lake Area Adventures is very much alive and operating at 1337 Country Club Road in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It is a 35,000-square-foot family entertainment center that has been serving Southwest Louisiana since 2016.

More Than Just an Arcade — A Full Indoor Playground

Lake Area Adventures is not your typical game center. Step inside and you will find a 10,500-square-foot custom-designed inflatable AirPark where kids and adults alike can flip, jump, and slide to their heart's content. Above it all, an indoor ropes course offers a bird's-eye view of the action below. For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, there is a bouldering and rock climbing wall that welcomes climbers of all skill levels. The Gamers Lounge is a state-of-the-art video game hub featuring the Omniverse VR Arena with an omni-directional treadmill, flight and race simulators, gaming consoles, and interactive mini-golf. Every corner of this facility invites exploration and play.

Two-Story Laser Tag Battles and Tactical Fun

The recently opened laser tag arena spans over 1,700 square feet across two stories, making it a standout destination for group competitions in Lake Charles. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, gathering coworkers for a team-building session, or simply looking for a friendly showdown, the arena offers plenty of cover and vertical space for strategic movement. It is designed to accommodate parties and extracurricular groups, and can be added on to most party packages for an extra dose of excitement.

Parties, Events, and Gatherings for Every Occasion

Lake Area Adventures offers three distinct ways to celebrate. Private parties include a dedicated room for two hours, entry bands for up to twenty guests, a party host, themed decorations, favor bags, and drinks. Common-area parties keep the table right in the center of the action with entry bands for ten guests and a party host available to assist. For those who want to celebrate elsewhere, off-site party services bring event staffing, catering, and equipment rentals to a venue of your choosing. Birthdays, corporate events, school gatherings, and family reunions all find a natural home here. The facility also hosts Adventure After Dark, an adults-only after-hours event on Saturdays with karaoke, DJs, and full access to the attractions.

Dining That Stands on Its Own

The Terrace Restaurant, led by award-winning chef Amanda Cusey, offers a dining experience that goes far beyond typical concession fare. The menu features dishes like honey sesame Brussels sprouts and chicken and bacon pasta, with an Italian flair that uses fresh local ingredients. You do not need a play pass to eat here — guests can enter directly through the patio entrance. The restaurant also runs weekly specials such as Kids Eat Free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Dine & Play promotions that bundle a meal with unlimited play passes. The newly added T-Lounge provides another space to relax with a drink and a bite.

Year-Round Swimming, Summer Camps, and Outdoor Adventures

Beyond the indoor attractions, Lake Area Adventures operates an indoor temperature-controlled aquatics center offering swim lessons and recreational swimming. During the summer, the Adventure Kids Camp keeps children engaged with a mix of activities. The same team also runs outdoor watercraft rentals and guided kayak tours on the local waterways around Lake Charles, with experienced captains and guides like Captain Joejoe and Caymn leading the way. From pontoon boat rentals to beginner and advanced kayak trips, the outdoor side of the operation adds a whole different flavor to the adventure.
