LASER ASSAULT

Laser Tag Inside Provo Towne Centre

Laser Assault is located inside Provo Towne Centre mall in Provo, Utah, on the second floor next to Spencer’s Gifts, close to the door by Target. The club moved to the mall after its original downtown location closed for redevelopment. Its history goes back much further, and it proudly hosted the Laser Storm National Championship in 2014. Reviewers describe the current venue as a casual spot for competitive laser tag in the dark with vintage vibes, and they praise a super friendly owner.

A Dark Arena Built for Competitive Play

The arena is designed for serious laser tag in the dark, with fog and glowing scenery. A Groupon description of the club’s earlier arena mentions a two-level layout with winding corridors and clusters of barrels, and the mall arena keeps the same spirit of tactical play in a maze-like space. Games last 10 minutes, and each one holds up to 20 players. The venue says it sees the best experience for ages 6 and up, although it has no strict age limit, and every player must wear shoes in the arena.

Leagues and Tournament Play for Serious Players

Laser Assault runs leagues and tournaments, and one reviewer noted that the Laser Storm format is the only laser tag format they play. The club hosted a national championship, and it is a gathering place for local competitors who want ranked play. Casual players can join the same games. Reviewers describe premium laser tag at reasonable prices, so the venue works for first-timers and for regulars who like to climb the leaderboard.

Value Nights and a Monthly Pass

The club offers value deals that make frequent play affordable. On Tuesdays, every game costs a flat $5 all day, and Friday Night Fire Fight offers unlimited games from 8 pm to midnight for a set price. A monthly membership pass covers a month of play for regulars. A small arcade near the entrance adds classic games, and reviewers call the arcade games a good value. The mall setting also means food and shopping are steps away.

Birthdays, Group Events, and Private Arena Rentals

A separate area with tables is reserved for groups that book an event. Birthday parties, school and church groups, and corporate outings can reserve the arena for private games, with up to 30 people per rental. Groups larger than 20 are split up and rotated so everyone gets equal playing time. The club has also offered portable laser tag parties that bring the equipment to a group’s own location, so it can serve events outside the mall.
