Laserzone is located in the Sugar Land area of Fort Bend County, Texas, along Highway 6, about 20 minutes southwest of downtown Houston. The club sits in a shopping center area that has grown significantly since the venue first opened its doors in December 1998.
A Legacy of Laser Gaming in Sugar Land
Laserzone has been a fixture of the Sugar Land entertainment scene for over 25 years. Founded by Gary Wilhide, an engineer who built the original 10,000-square-foot facility himself, the venue was one of the first entertainment centers in the area — it even predates Sugar Land’s first movie theater and the Sugar Land Town Square. Wilhide’s vision was to bring family-friendly entertainment to what was then a developing part of town, and the venue has remained family-owned and operated ever since.
The arena was expanded in 2017 to its current 13,000 square feet, making it one of the largest dedicated laser tag facilities in the state of Texas. There’s also a bank vault game where teams weave through laser fields and attempt a simulated heist against a countdown clock.
