About
A Laser Tag and Bowling Destination in Stafford
Main Event is located in Stafford, Texas, southwest of Houston, in the Fountain on the Lake shopping center. The center covers about 56,000 square feet and was the company’s fourth in the Houston market when it opened. It follows the chain’s usual idea of eating, bowling, and playing in one building, and it draws families and groups from across the southwest side of the city.
Multi-Level Laser Tag for Teams and Solo Players
Laser tag is the main team game here. Matches take place in a multi-level indoor arena, and a local listing describes the Stafford arena as glow-in-the-dark. Players can move between levels, hold high positions, and use the lighting for cover. The chain offers both team modes and free-for-all matches, so a group can switch between cooperation and every-player-for-themselves rounds. A height requirement applies, which is 42 inches according to the chain’s activity page, so it is worth checking before bringing very young guests.
Bowling, Billiards, and an Indoor Ropes Course
The center has 24 lanes of Brunswick bowling, along with billiards and an indoor ropes course. The ropes course gives guests a physical challenge that is quite different from a shooting game, and it is popular with children and adults alike. More than 100 virtual and interactive games fill the arcade. Guests can rotate between laser tag, the lanes, the ropes, and the arcade, so no one has to wait out a round without something to do.
Birthday Parties and Group Events With a Dedicated Host
The center hosts birthday parties and group events, and event coordinators on staff help guests plan them. Birthday packages include a dedicated party host and a reserved party space, so parents can enjoy the day instead of managing it. Company teams and school groups can also use the center. A match, a round of bowling, and a meal give coworkers or classmates a relaxed way to spend time together outside of work or class.
Casual Dining and a Full Bar Between Rounds
The restaurant serves American casual fare, including wings, loaded nachos, and oven-baked pizza, and the bar offers cocktails, craft beer, and wine with large-screen TVs. Guests can eat without leaving the building, which keeps the group together between activities. When the games end, the dining area becomes a natural place to compare scores and plan a rematch.
