NextReality VRCade is located in Elkhart, Indiana, just a short drive from the former Goshen location. Housed in a welcoming standalone space on Cassopolis Street, the venue has become a go-to spot for Michiana residents looking for something beyond the usual night out. The move from Goshen allowed the team to expand into a larger, more versatile facility that better suits the growing library of free-roam and room-scale VR experiences.

Immersive Free-Roam and Room-Scale VR Adventures

The heart of NextReality VRCade lies in its two dedicated free-roam VR arenas. Arena 1 (the Adventure Zone) accommodates up to 4 players and is built for story-driven, team-based missions — think exploring ancient temples, escaping haunted mansions, or battling waves of zombies together. Arena 2 (the Arcade Zone) supports up to 3 players and focuses on faster-paced, competitive gameplay like player-versus-player shootouts and skill-based challenges. Both arenas use untethered, warehouse-scale technology, meaning you can physically walk, dodge, and interact with the virtual world and your teammates just like in real life. In addition to free-roam, the center offers over 80 room-scale VR games on individual stations, including Beat Saber, Job Simulator, Fruit Ninja, and Minecraft VR.

Beyond virtual reality, NextReality VRCade functions as a full-fledged gaming lounge. The GamePad area gives visitors access to over 6,000 games across multiple console systems (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch), retro arcade cabinets, and high-end gaming PCs. Titles range from Call of Duty and Fortnite to Dance Dance Revolution and Hello Neighbor. A custom arcade cabinet features more than 1,200 classic fan favorites. For those who want to unplug, there is also a selection of board games, card games, air hockey, and foosball. Karaoke is available as well, making the space feel less like a typical arcade and more like a community hangout.

The venue is particularly well-suited for birthday parties, corporate team-building events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, date nights, and family outings. The owners, Damon and Crystal Miles, have designed flexible party packages that combine VR time with arcade access, allowing groups to rotate between activities. The space can accommodate up to 30 guests comfortably, with options for 4 to 10 players in the VR arenas at a time. For corporate groups, the center offers team-building scenarios that require collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking — from VR escape rooms to cooperative survival missions. Church and community organizations can request custom pricing for group events.

NextReality VRCade features a comfortable lounge area where guests can relax between VR sessions, enjoy snacks from the concessions stand, or bring in their own food (carry-in is allowed). The atmosphere is intentionally casual and welcoming — the owners describe it as a place where "you can just chill or enter worlds never thought of." The lounge is equipped with seating, tables, and a party-friendly setup that makes it easy to celebrate birthdays, host meetings, or simply hang out after gaming. Massage chairs are also available for those who want to unwind after an active VR session.

Experienced Owners with a Community-First Approach

The business is Black-owned, veteran-owned, and women-owned, run by Damon and Crystal Miles. Damon, who has a background in civil engineering, first brought VR to the Elkhart County Fair in 2019, where he witnessed the profound impact VR could have — including helping a stroke patient "visit" a beach for the first time since her hospitalization. That experience shaped the couple's mission to use VR not just for entertainment but as a tool for healing, education, and community connection. They have partnered with senior care organizations, Alzheimer's and dementia support programs, STEM education initiatives, and youth groups to offer tailored VR experiences and fundraisers. The staff is known for being patient, informative, and genuinely passionate about helping first-timers feel comfortable with the technology.
