Olympic Fun Center

Olympic Fun Center sits in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, in Mercer County, within the Shenango Valley area. A family entertainment center that has been part of the local community since 1998, it brings together roller skating, laser tag, a rock wall, a multi-level playzone, an arcade, and a Teddyland corner under one roof.

Glow-in-the-Dark Laser Tag Battles

The heart of the tactical fun is the Lazer Runner System, set inside a 2,800-square-foot black light glow arena. Players hide behind barriers and weave through the brightly lit space to track down opponents, with each session lasting about ten minutes. It is a fast, friendly way to test strategy and chase the highest score. Before every game, staff greet players at the arena entrance, hand out vests, and walk everyone through the rules and how the equipment works. This careful briefing keeps the action safe and makes first-timers feel at ease, so both kids and adults can jump right in.

More Than Just Laser Tag

Beyond the glow arena, the center offers a state-of-the-art roller skating rink, a four-sided rock climbing wall with varying difficulty, and a Playzone with four levels of tubes designed for younger children. The arcade holds over 45 redemption, crane, merchandise, and video games, while Teddyland adds a soft, plush corner for the littlest visitors. That variety means a single visit can cover skating, climbing, tagging, and gaming. It is the kind of place where siblings of different ages can each find something they genuinely enjoy, which is a big part of its appeal for families.

Parties and Group Programs

The center runs several party packages. The Traditional Party includes a private party room, pizza, drinks, ice cream, a game card, and a spin on the prize wheel. The Cosmic Party, offered on Friday nights, adds glow bracelets, glow necklaces, and a black light party room. Teddyland parties bring a plush animal into the celebration. For larger gatherings, the Semi-Private Party closes the rink to the public, and the Private Birthday Party rents out the entire facility. Schools, non-profits, fundraisers, and private groups are all welcome, making the space flexible for many kinds of events.

Extra Touches and Amenities

A concession area serves food and drinks, and a proshop handles skate needs. Skate rentals and Skate Mates are available for those still finding their balance on wheels. Gift bags can be added to parties, and party rooms give celebrations a dedicated space away from the main floor. Events can be extended with an extra hour of fun, and a cash discount incentive applies to purchases. These small conveniences make hosting a party or group outing noticeably easier for parents and organizers.

Who It’s Best For

Olympic Fun Center suits birthday parties for kids of all ages, school field trips, fundraisers, and private group events. Families gather for weekend matinees, teens turn out for Friday Cosmic Night, and organizations book the space for team-building and celebrations. The broad mix of activities makes it a versatile spot for everything from a child’s first party to a larger community gathering. Whether the goal is a low-key family afternoon or a full facility rental, there is room for both.

Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff

Reviewers consistently note that the young staff are kind, understanding, and efficient, especially when handling party details. They brief laser tag players on safety, manage the rink, and help keep celebrations running smoothly. That attentive service takes pressure off parents and hosts, letting them focus on enjoying the day. It is a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps families coming back.
