Orbital Paintball is located in the Thonotosassa area of Tampa, Florida, just off US Highway 301, about 3.5 miles north of Fowler Avenue.
Seven Unique Battlefields Under One Sky
Orbital Paintball offers seven distinct outdoor playing fields, each with its own personality and tactical demands. Woodsball enthusiasts can explore the Long Woods, Short Woods, and Jungle fields — natural terrain with trails, dunes, barrels, and small structures that reward stealth and teamwork. For those who prefer speed and precision, there is a dedicated Speedball field with airball bunkers and a Hyperball field lined with inflated barriers. The crown jewel is Fort Freedom, the only freestanding 3,300-square-foot two-story fort in the area. This attack-and-defend field features a full circular fortress with two sentry towers and only three entrances, creating intense, strategic standoffs that keep players coming back for more.
Games That Feel Like Real Missions
The club runs a variety of game formats that go beyond simple elimination. On Fort Freedom, one team defends the fort while the other attacks, with a 10-minute timer adding pressure to every push. Woodsball fields host capture the flag, hold the flag, and other objective-based scenarios that require communication and coordinated movement. Walk-on groups are welcome every weekend, with minimal downtime between matches — often less than ten minutes — so players stay in the action. Private groups can book any day of the week with a reservation, allowing friends, families, or coworkers to design their own game day experience.
Built for Celebrations and Team Building
Orbital Paintball is a natural fit for birthdays, corporate team building, church group outings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and youth group events. The facility regularly hosts summer youth paintball camps in June and July, giving younger players a chance to learn the sport in a supervised, supportive environment. Seasonal events add extra flavor throughout the year — a Halloween Hunt, an Easter Egg Hunt, and a four-day Christmas celebration with prizes for attendees. These traditions have made Orbital a recurring destination for groups looking to mark special occasions with something more memorable than a typical party room.
A Crew That Knows the Game
Orbital Paintball is a family-owned operation, and the staff reflects that personal touch. The team at the counter is known for being friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help troubleshoot markers on the spot. Referees on the field keep games moving fairly and safely, and many regulars note that the atmosphere among both staff and local players is welcoming and community-driven. The pro shop carries a selection of markers, pods, pod carriers, and quality paint at different price points. Both CO2 and compressed air (HPA) fills are available, with HPA fills reaching up to 4,500 PSI for those who want maximum performance from their tanks.
Comforts and Conveniences Between Battles
The staging area offers plenty of covered benches and tables where players can rest, rehydrate, and strategize between games. A food vendor is often on-site with hot dogs, hot fries, and other quick bites, and the staff can arrange pizza delivery from a local shop for groups that want something heartier. Restrooms are available on-site, and the facility accepts credit and debit cards for purchases. Players are encouraged to complete their safety waiver online before arriving to save time at check-in. With all-day play included in every package, there is no rush — just a full day of paintball from opening to close.
