Picasso Lake Paintball

Picasso Lake Paintball sits on 110 acres of wooded land in Winslow Township, Camden County, in South Jersey, roughly halfway between Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore. It has been a local landmark since 1993 and remains open year-round, rain or shine.

A Woodsball Legacy Since 1993

Picasso Lake opened its gates in 1993 with a simple mission: to deliver a true “woodsball” experience in the great outdoors. For more than three decades it was run by its founder, Bill, who built a reputation for a safe, fun, and competitive environment. Now that Bill has retired, the business has been handed to Mark, a dedicated employee of 16 years, and his wife Sue, who carry on his legacy while adding fresh ideas. The result is a place that feels more like a community than a business. Walk-ons are welcomed like regulars, and the family-owned, family-operated, family-friendly atmosphere is evident from the moment you arrive. Players of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join, and no experience is needed to have a great time.

Nine Fields, Endless Scenarios

The property spans more than 110 acres and is home to nine distinct playing fields, each with its own character. There are sprawling forests, lakeside play areas, and rustic woodsball terrain that invites everything from trench warfare to a competitive game of capture the flag. Every field is different, so no two games ever feel the same. The variety means there is something for every style of play, whether you prefer lurking in the trees, charging a hill, or working through a maze of cover. Groups of all sizes are welcome, and the sheer scale of the grounds makes day-long gameplay easy to imagine.

Paintball and Airsoft Under One Roof

Picasso Lake offers both paintball and airsoft, making it a versatile destination for fans of either sport. Beginners can rent everything they need, while experienced players are welcome to bring their own gear. Rental markers, masks, tanks, and vests are all available, and the facility fills compressed air (HPA) tanks on site. For those who bring their own equipment, outside paint is permitted, though rental players must use field paint. The facility also hosts special events throughout the year, including themed gatherings like “Elvis Day” and the “Wasteland” airsoft event held by NYC Airsoft.

Made for Groups and Celebrations

Picasso Lake is a popular choice for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, church outings, field trips, graduation parties, and bar or bat mitzvahs. It is also a favorite for corporate team-building workshops and father-and-son outings. Private groups can reserve their own referee and private games, with a dedicated picnic area for the party. Group packages scale with size, and the more players you book, the better the deal. Reservations are required for private events, and weekday play can be arranged by booking ahead. The staff is known for being knowledgeable and helpful, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Gear, Rentals, and the Little Extras

Rental equipment can be booked as a full all-day package or piece by piece for anyone who forgot something at home. Masks, tanks, belts, coveralls, and gloves are all available. Water, soft drinks, and snacks are sold on site, and pizza delivery can be arranged by request for groups. The facility is open every weekend year-round, rain or shine, and active military members receive a discount with a valid ID. A small refundable deposit is collected for arm bands at check-in, and all rental equipment requires a valid ID.

The People Behind the Paint

The staff and referees at Picasso Lake are frequently praised by players for making the place feel like home. Reviewers describe the owners as genuinely kind and friendly people who enjoy watching the action, teamwork, and bonding that happens between friends, parents, kids, and strangers turned teammates. The refs are considered among the best, and the atmosphere keeps players coming back. It is a place where first-timers discover they love the sport and veterans find a welcoming community. Whether you come alone as a walk-on or with a large group, you will likely leave surrounded by friends.
