Pinnacle Paintball Park & Airsoft

Pinnacle Paintball Park & Airsoft spreads across more than 50 acres in Malaga, New Jersey, in Gloucester County’s Franklin Township, roughly a half-hour south of Philadelphia. It is one of the largest paintball facilities in the state and across the wider Northeast, open year-round with no experience required.

A Battlefield Built for Every Style of Play

Pinnacle is a true tactical playground where paintball and airsoft share the same expansive grounds. Players can dive into capture-the-flag classics, head-to-head elimination battles, attack-and-defend missions, and immersive military-style simulations that reward teamwork and strategy as much as quick reflexes. The park’s 15+ playing fields are designed to keep every round feeling fresh, whether you are a seasoned veteran or stepping onto a field for the very first time. The variety is the real draw here. Dense wooded areas offer cover and ambush opportunities, while open, cleared zones encourage careful planning and precise execution. Because the fields are so different from one another, a single day can feel like several completely different games, and the staff rotates groups through the terrain so no two outings play out the same way.

The Legendary Valken Castle and World-Class Fields

The crown jewel of the property is the Valken Castle, a custom-built three-story structure that Pinnacle calls the most legendary paintball castle of all time. With towering walls, dozens of sniper windows, and multiple levels to climb and defend, it turns every visit into a medieval siege brought to life. Built from large shipping containers to meet all construction codes, the castle is a favorite for storming the gates, holding the high ground, and staging dramatic takeovers. Beyond the castle, the facility is thoughtfully laid out with a central “horseshoe” walkway that loops around the main play areas, protected by tall netting so visitors can stroll the entire park and watch the action safely. Man-made obstacles like wooden barriers, huts, railroad-tie bunkers, and shipping containers dot the center fields, while the outer woodsball fields offer a more natural, balanced challenge. Even the wood used in the buildings and picnic tables comes from the property itself.

Scenarios, Open Play, and Signature Events

Beyond casual rounds, Pinnacle hosts signature events that bring the community together, most notably Castle Jam, a large-scale gathering built around storming the Valken Castle. These special dates turn the park into a festival-like atmosphere with vendors, themed gameplay, and hundreds of players converging on the grounds. It is the kind of event that regulars mark on their calendars. For those who prefer a more spontaneous visit, open play walk-on sessions run on weekends, where solo players and small groups sign in, gear up, and get placed into big groups hosted by staff all day long. Private groups, meanwhile, get the entire experience to themselves, moving from field to field with a dedicated staff member who explains rules, balances teams, and keeps everyone safe from start to finish.

More Than Paintball: Airsoft, Low-Impact, and Gellyball

Pinnacle is far more than a paintball park. Airsoft players can enjoy the same fields with replica rifles that run on compressed air, offering a competitive, immersive alternative for fans of tactical and military simulation. For younger players or first-timers nervous about getting shot, low-impact paintball turns down the marker velocity to remove the “ouch” factor while keeping the full experience intact. The newest addition is gellyball, a family-friendly option where battery-operated gel blasters shoot soft, water-based gellets that leave virtually no sting and no mess. With a minimum age of just five, gellyball opens the park to the youngest adventurers and makes it a natural fit for kids’ birthday parties. The ammo is 100% biodegradable and non-toxic, so parents can relax while the little ones have a blast.

Made for Celebrations, Teams, and First-Timers

Pinnacle is built to host just about any gathering, from birthday parties and bachelor parties to church groups, fundraisers, and corporate team-building outings. Private parties come with a dedicated staging area where groups can bring their own food, drinks, and cake, and the park even welcomes outside catering on request. It is a great venue for milestone celebrations, company outings, and family get-togethers alike. The staff is a big part of what makes the experience work. Professionally trained referees and hosts stay with each group for the entire outing, explaining safety rules, guiding gameplay, and keeping standards high. Premium rental gear, including the Eclipse EMEK paintball gun and sanitized eye protection, is maintained to a high standard, and shaded picnic areas and a practice range give players comfortable spots to rest, eat, and warm up between rounds.
