PINSTACK SATX NORTH RIM

An Upscale Bowling and Laser Tag Destination in Leon Springs

PINSTACK North Rim is located in the Leon Springs area on San Antonio’s northwest side, along Interstate 10 West near The Rim. The center opened in July 2024 as the sixth PINSTACK location and the second in San Antonio. It covers more than 54,000 square feet and is part of a Texas-born brand that has built its name on combining bowling, games, and dining in one place.

A Two-Level Laser Tag Arena

Laser tag takes place in a two-level arena. Players tag opponents with infrared blasters, move between floors, and score points for their teams. The arena is part of the game room, so groups can switch between laser tag and the other attractions in a single visit. A minimum age of 6 is usually listed for laser tag at this chain. Birthday packages include access to unlimited attractions, and laser tag is among them.

SPARK Bowling and Lane-Side Dining

The bowling lanes use modern equipment, and the VIP lanes offer the SPARK interactive experience, which adds games and effects to a regular frame. Lane-side service brings food and drinks to the lanes, so guests do not need to leave a game to eat. Private event space with its own lanes is available for larger groups. The VIP bowling lounge suits corporate events and party groups that want more privacy.

Rock Climbing, a Ropes Course, and Bumper Cars

The game room has a rock climbing wall, bumper cars, and a high ropes course about 20 feet above the floor, with video games and simulators below. These attractions give older children and adults a physical challenge between rounds of bowling or laser tag. The venue also has a climate-controlled patio. Reviewers note that the games are fun but can be pricey, so families often choose packages that bundle attractions.

Birthdays, Corporate Events, and Team Building

Kids’ birthday parties are available for guests 18 and under, with packages that combine bowling, laser tag, arcade games, bumper cars, and rock climbing. Each package includes time in a private party room and a choice of kid-friendly food such as pizza or chicken tenders. Group and team-building events are a specialty, with private rooms and in-house catering. The venue lists a guest minimum of 10 for kids’ parties. Only birthday cakes may be brought in from outside.

A Full Bar With 24 Draft Beers and Weekday Happy Hours

The restaurant serves American casual food, and the bar offers 24 draft beers, 12 keg wines, a list of bottled wines, and craft cocktails. A weekday happy hour from 4 to 7 pm offers discounted pints, house wine, and margaritas. Adults can relax with a drink while children play, and the restaurant is a place to regroup after the last game.
