About

Five Ways to Play Under One Roof

Pyrrhic Indoor Sports offers five distinct gaming experiences, making it a versatile destination for families, groups, and solo adventurers alike. Guests can choose from Tactical Laser Tag, Gel Blaster Nexus, Tactical Nerf, Airsoft, and Virtual Reality. Each activity is designed to be immersive and physically engaging, encouraging players to put down their phones and move. The Gel Blaster Nexus is particularly popular — it delivers the thrill of airsoft without the sting, using water-absorbent gel pellets that burst on impact. Players use fully automatic pistols or rifles equipped with tracer units, so every shot lights up as it flies through the dimly lit arena. For those seeking a more intense experience, the Airsoft arena features up to four themed zones where players battle in low-light conditions with lasers and special effects lighting.

An Arena Built for Action

The indoor facility spans 22,500 square feet across two floors, making it the first indoor Airsoft arena in this part of Idaho. The arenas are darkly lit with flashes of special effect lighting and lasers, and every gun is fitted with tracer ammunition so players can see their shots streak toward the opposition. The layouts vary by game — from open tactical fields to maze-like corridors — keeping each visit fresh. The Tactical Laser Tag arena stands out by ditching the bulky vests and space guns found at traditional venues. Instead, players use MP7 sub-machine guns and sensor headsets, with the ability to tag opponents on the head or disable their weapons entirely. The VR arena is a dedicated 1,400-square-foot space where up to eight players can move freely through 16 different game maps, including a flashlight mode for those who enjoy a more suspenseful challenge.

Where Birthdays Become Battles

Pyrrhic has long been known as a go-to spot for birthday parties in the Treasure Valley, and the indoor Nampa location takes that reputation further. Two birthday packages are available: Package 1 (ages 6+) includes Laser Tag, Nerf, and Gel Blaster Nexus, while Package 2 (ages 10+) adds VR and Airsoft to the mix. A minimum of six participants is required, and the birthday child receives free admission. Each package includes tables, chairs, tablecloths, and balloons. Outside food is welcome, which gives families flexibility in catering. The venue also accommodates bachelor(ette) parties, youth group outings, corporate team-building events, and large group gatherings. The old theater’s concession area has been converted into a party space, and event rooms are expected to become available for private reservations.

A Space for Spectators and Strategists

Not everyone wants to be in the thick of battle, and Pyrrhic has made sure there is plenty to do for those who prefer to watch or take a break. The lobby features a growing arcade with over a dozen games, air hockey, pool, and a motion simulator ride. Old theater seats have been repurposed as comfortable seating where parents and grandparents can relax while keeping an eye on the action. Each arena has designated viewing areas, so friends and family can follow the games without being on the field. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with staff frequently tidying up between sessions. The single entrance and exit layout also makes it easy for parents to keep track of younger children.

The People Behind the Fun

Pyrrhic is family-owned and operated, with owner Scott Kramer having started the business over a decade ago as a pure paintball operation. Over time, the team expanded into airsoft, laser tag, and other activities, eventually opening the indoor Nampa location. The staff is frequently praised in reviews for being energetic, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Referees run every game, keeping teams balanced and ensuring fair play. Many reviewers note that the team goes out of their way to make first-time players feel welcome, teaching them the rules and helping them get comfortable with the equipment. The atmosphere is described as family-friendly, with age-appropriate music and a focus on creating a safe, inclusive environment for all skill levels.
