Raptor Airsoft Field & Shop sits on a sprawling family-owned property in DeLand, Florida, about 30 miles north of Orlando. The land has been in the family for over 40 years, and the field itself opened its doors in 2017 as a small family business born out of necessity during tough economic times. Today it stands as one of the largest airsoft venues in the state.

Seven Fields, Endless Possibilities

The venue boasts a remarkable 60 acres of playable terrain broken into 7 distinct playing areas, each spanning 5 to 10 acres. Players move through sandy stretches, dense woodlands, tight-quarters combat zones, bus-to-bus engagements, bunker complexes, lane ways, and hilly sections. The variety means no two games feel the same. Field marshals rotate which of the 7 fields are used throughout the day, keeping the experience fresh for returning visitors. A typical day includes 6 to 8 games, each lasting 30 to 40 minutes with 15-minute breaks in between. The marshals have a library of 20 different game scenarios to choose from, so there is always something new to try. Players of all ages from 7 to 77 are welcome, and the terrain is designed so that you do not need to be a sprinter to have a great time. Walking and playing at a steady pace works just as well as running and gunning.

Built for Walk-Ups and Solo Adventurers

One of the more welcoming aspects of this field is that 100 percent of players are walk-ups. There is no need to bring a team or book a reservation. On any given day, 30 to 50 players show up, and the field marshal simply divides everyone into two balanced teams. This makes it an excellent choice for someone who wants to try airsoft for the first time or for a visitor passing through the area who wants to jump into a game without any advance planning. The staff takes safety seriously. Gun safety is emphasized from the moment you arrive, and the marshals enforce rules consistently to keep the atmosphere family-friendly. The owners, Juan, David, and Alcira, run the place as a family operation and are present on-site to ensure everything runs smoothly.

More Than Just a Battlefield

Beyond the games themselves, the property offers a comfortable place to relax between rounds. There are 15 tents with plenty of seating, and free water is available to all players. Cooling sprinklers are set up on the fields to help everyone stay comfortable in the Florida heat, and electricity is available on-site for charging batteries. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and even a grill for a picnic while other family members are playing. The on-site shop carries a selection of realistic airsoft guns for sale and rental, along with BBs, gear, and accessories. Rental guns are polymer electric rifles with metal gearboxes, a fully charged battery, and a high-capacity magazine. A rental mask is also available for those who do not bring their own eye and face protection.

Perfect for Celebrations and Quality Family Time

The field is a natural fit for birthday parties, bachelor parties, and other group celebrations. The team will sing to the birthday person or bachelor during lunch, and groups that spend over $500 receive a special gift for the guest of honor. For those who want a more private experience, it is possible to rent a dedicated field marshal and a private field for five hours, away from the walk-up crowd. The private group can also join the main walk-up games if they wish, with their own marshal acting as a captain. Parents are especially encouraged to play alongside their children. The owners believe strongly in family involvement, and the spacious fields allow parents of any fitness level to keep up and share the experience. After a day of airsoft, many families head to one of the nearby natural springs such as Blue Spring, DeLeon Springs, or Alexander Springs for a cool swim in crystal-clear 70-degree water.
