About

RPM Raceway in Stamford, Connecticut is  an active, all-electric go-kart racing and entertainment complex in the city’s Waterside section, at 600 West Avenue, with direct access from Fairfield and Westchester counties and New York City. The venue reopened after COVID closures in July 2020 and underwent extensive renovations, and it continues to run today with racing, Gel Blaster, Laser-Tag, bowling, VR, arcade, and a bar and grill.

All-Electric Karting on a Multilevel Track

The heart of RPM Raceway is its high-speed indoor karting. The tracks are multilevel and lit with LED lighting, designed by top European track developers and raced by some of your favorite F1 legends. Drivers navigate spiraling ramps, sudden dips, drops, underpasses, and lightning-fast straightaways, all without needing a license or any prior experience. Every race is timed, and results are tracked so you can chase your own best lap. The karts are fully electric, which keeps the experience fast yet quiet and clean. Racing is offered as single races or in the Kart Klash format, and there’s even a combined Megatrack on certain days for extra laps. For those who want to improve, private one-on-one lessons with the venue’s pros and instructors help shave seconds off your lap times.

Gel Blaster and Laser-Tag Battles

Beyond the karts, RPM Raceway brings tactical team play to the floor with Gel Blaster and Laser-Tag arenas. The Gel Blaster arena, called Gel Blaster Nexus, is a dark, neon-lit space where players in glowing vests and protective eyewear face off in lively, action-packed games. It’s a great way to mix strategy and adrenaline with friends, family, or coworkers. These battle experiences are especially popular with kids and families, and they’re offered as a standalone attraction or bundled with other activities. Whether you’re dodging gel rounds or tagging opponents with lasers, the arenas give the venue a genuinely competitive, team-oriented side that pairs well with the racing.

Beyond the Track: Bowling, VR, and Arcade

RPM Raceway is far more than a karting facility. It houses a full bowling alley, a four-player virtual-reality experience, two immersive racing simulators, and a spacious arcade packed with games. The Hologate and Valoarena attractions add interactive, screen-based multiplayer fun, while the racing simulators let you test your skills in a more technical setting. The arcade is a big draw for families, with everything from claw machines to classic and modern cabinets. On certain weekdays, arcade play is half off all day, and there are regular promotions that rotate through the week. Between activities, the RPM Bar + Grill serves burgers, tenders, and drinks, making it easy to turn a quick visit into a full afternoon or evening out.

Parties, Corporate Events, and Private Rentals

RPM Raceway is built for gatherings of all kinds. It hosts kids’ birthday parties, adult parties, corporate events, charity fundraisers, and bar and bat mitzvahs. The venue offers private track rentals by the hour, so your group can race on a track reserved just for you while the rest of the facility stays open. For larger groups, a full facility buyout closes the building to the public for complete exclusivity. The event spaces carry racing-themed names like Monaco Paddock, Sonoma Lounge, Talladega Penthouse, and Watkins Glen Terrace, and they come equipped with audio-visual gear, flat-screen monitors, and modern technology. The staff handles the planning, including catering, arcade play, and trophies, so hosts can focus on having fun. With a capacity around 300 guests, it’s a solid choice for everything from intimate celebrations to sizable corporate team-building days.

Food, Lounge Spaces, and the RPM Crew

When you need a break from the action, the RPM Bar + Grill and lounge areas offer a comfortable place to recharge. The venue’s meeting and party rooms double as relaxing spots to gather before or after racing, and the on-site kitchen keeps guests fueled with food and drink throughout their visit. The atmosphere is lively and neon-lit, with a social, community feel that extends beyond the track. The staff at RPM Raceway are known for being welcoming and attentive, from the instructors who coach private lessons to the event coordinators who manage parties and corporate bookings. There’s also an RPM Heroes program offering discounts to active-duty and veteran service members, first responders, healthcare workers, and teachers, which speaks to the venue’s community-minded approach. Summer camps and seasonal events round out the calendar, giving regulars plenty of reasons to come back.
