Stepping Into a Story: The Games You Can Play

The heart of Sandbox VR lies in its library of exclusive, full-body virtual reality adventures. Each experience is designed for groups of two to six players who share the same physical and virtual space. The lineup includes officially licensed worlds like Squid Game Virtuals, where teams compete in the show's iconic challenges, and Stranger Things: Catalyst, which drops players into the Upside Down. Horror fans flock to the Deadwood series — Deadwood Mansion, Deadwood Valley, and the newest Deadwood PHOBIA — while families often choose Age of Dinosaurs, a prehistoric safari where you walk among giants. Other titles include the pirate-themed Curse of Davy Jones, the sci-fi Rebel Moon: The Descent, the fantasy quest Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire, the cyberpunk Amber Sky 2088, and the soccer simulation UFL. Each session runs about 30 minutes of active gameplay, with the full visit lasting roughly 60 to 75 minutes including gear-up, briefing, and watching your personalized highlight reel afterward. The games are designed to be social and cooperative — no gaming experience is required, and the staff guides everyone through the controls before the mission begins.

The Arena: Where Tech Meets Freedom of Movement

Unlike home VR systems where you stand in one spot, Sandbox VR's arenas are room-scale spaces equipped with full-body motion capture cameras and haptic vests. Players wear a headset, a vest that vibrates with every explosion and impact, and motion sensors on wrists and ankles. The tracking is precise enough that you can see your teammates' avatars moving naturally, hand off a virtual weapon, or physically duck behind cover. Each of the two Atlanta locations has four dedicated VR rooms, and the communal lobby area features screens where you can watch other groups' gameplay in real time. The space is clean, modern, and designed with a futuristic lounge vibe — neon accents, comfortable seating, and a social atmosphere where groups gather to watch their replay footage after a session.

More Than a Game: Events, Celebrations, and Team Building

Sandbox VR Atlanta is a natural fit for birthdays, corporate offsites, team-building exercises, bachelor and bachelorette parties, graduation celebrations, and date nights. The private room setup means your group has the space entirely to themselves, which makes the experience feel personal and immersive. For corporate groups larger than six, the venue can coordinate multiple rooms running simultaneously, and the staff works with event organizers to tailor the experience to the group's goals — whether that's friendly competition or cooperative problem-solving. The shared highlight reel, which captures your team's best moments from a cinematic third-person angle, becomes a lasting memento that groups often share on social media.

The People Behind the Headsets: Staff and Service

The guest experience guides at both Atlanta locations are trained to handle everything from equipment calibration to in-game troubleshooting. They lead a thorough orientation before each session, explaining how the haptic vests work, how to call for assistance during gameplay (guests are instructed to say "Sandbox" if they need help), and how to get the most out of the experience. Many visitor reviews highlight specific staff members by name for their enthusiasm, patience, and ability to keep the energy high even during busy periods. The team also handles the sanitization of all equipment between sessions — headsets, vests, and props are cleaned after every use.

Beyond the Game: Lounge Area and the Full Experience

Each location features a comfortable lobby and lounge area where guests can hang out before and after their session. This space is outfitted with screens showing live feeds from the VR rooms and replay footage from completed games. There are photo props available for pictures, and the staff is happy to take extra photos and videos of your group. The entire visit is designed to be a social outing — you can arrive early, get geared up, play your mission, and then relax in the lounge while watching your cinematic highlight reel. Both locations are situated within larger entertainment complexes (The Battery and The Interlock) that offer dining, shopping, and other activities, making it easy to build a full evening around your VR experience.
