About

Sandbox VR Westlake is located in the Crocker Park lifestyle center in Westlake, Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland. It sits in the heart of the open-air shopping and dining district, next to the Lego store and Dick’s Sporting Goods, directly across from the Apple Store.

Full-Body VR That Feels Real

This is not a sit-down headset experience. Sandbox VR Westlake uses room-scale, full-body virtual reality where your entire body is tracked with motion-capture sensors on your wrists, ankles, and head — the same kind of technology used in major film productions. When you walk, duck, or reach, your whole body moves naturally inside the virtual world. The immersion goes deeper with haptic vests that let you feel in-game impacts as they happen, from shots and hits to bites and collisions. Physical props respond with real-time recoil, so what you hold in your hands reacts in sync with the action on screen. Because you see your own body moving naturally, the experience stays smooth and comfortable, with far less risk of the motion sickness that plagues traditional VR.

A Lineup of Worlds to Get Lost In

The Westlake location offers a rotating catalog of exclusive experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Fans of horror can face the psychological dread of Deadwood PHOBIA, the third chapter in Sandbox’s iconic zombie trilogy, or explore the eerie Deadwood Mansion and Deadwood Valley. Pop-culture lovers can step inside the global phenomenon Stranger Things: Catalyst and use their powers to save Hawkins, or compete in the high-stakes Squid Game Virtuals. For families and younger explorers, Age of Dinosaurs lets you walk among Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus rex on a prehistoric safari. There are also space adventures like Rebel Moon: The Descent and Amber Sky 2088, fantasy quests like Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire, and pirate voyages in Curse of Davy Jones. With alien battles, zombie apocalypses, and cinematic storytelling, there’s a world for every kind of crew.

Private Rooms and a Party-Ready Venue

The venue spans roughly 6,300 square feet and operates on a private-room model, meaning your group gets the full experience without interruptions from strangers. Each session is booked as a private room for your party, which makes the whole thing feel more like a shared adventure than a public attraction. The space includes a dedicated party room, giving groups a place to gather before or after their sessions. Because the venue sits inside Crocker Park, it’s easy to turn a visit into a full day out, with shopping, dining, and other entertainment just steps from the door.

Built for Birthdays, Corporate Days, and Everything Between

Sandbox VR Westlake is designed around group occasions. Birthday parties are a natural fit, with dedicated birthday packages that combine VR sessions with private celebration time and activity kits. Corporate teams can book larger bundles built for team building, where groups of up to eighteen can play multiple experiences together and even bring in catering. It also works well for bachelor and bachelorette parties, social gatherings, date nights, and family outings. The staff regularly handles events of all kinds, and the private-room setup means every group gets a tailored, uninterrupted experience no matter the occasion.

A Crew That Keeps Things Running Smoothly

The Westlake location is staffed by a team of general managers and game hosts who guide players through setup, explain the controls, and keep sessions running on schedule. Reviews frequently mention the friendly, helpful staff who make first-timers feel comfortable and handle the technical side so players can focus on the fun. Because the technology is complex, the on-site team plays a big role in the experience — helping with equipment, troubleshooting when needed, and making sure each group is properly briefed before stepping into the virtual world. For a venue built on cutting-edge tech, that attentive human touch makes a real difference.
