Sector X sits in the Golden Triangle area of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, along Marlton Pike West — a modern entertainment complex that’s an easy drive from Philadelphia and the surrounding South Jersey suburbs.
The heart of Sector X is its wireless, free-roam VR arena, where players walk, duck, and team up inside fully immersive virtual worlds without being tethered to a computer. The lineup includes The Warp, a sci-fi thriller for 2–4 players; Battlements, a medieval battle adventure for up to six; and Arvi Arena, an immersive multiplayer laser-tag shooter with sci-fi elements. Fans of a good scare can try Zombie Night, an arcade-style horror experience, while Gunslinger offers a western shooting challenge. Each session runs roughly 35 minutes, and the arena rotates through themes that keep repeat visitors coming back.
Beyond the arena, Sector X offers more than eight VR escape room experiences, where groups of 2–6 players work through story-driven puzzles in themed virtual environments. Solo visitors can hop on the VR rollercoaster or the racing simulator for a quick adrenaline fix, and there’s a golf simulator plus a multisport simulator for those who prefer a more athletic spin on gaming. The variety means there’s something for casual players and hardcore enthusiasts alike, all under one roof.
The esports lounge is outfitted with ultra-fast ORIGIN PCs featuring 27-inch, 280Hz ASUS monitors, alongside Sony and Nintendo setups for console fans. Sector X hosts tournaments, walk-in leagues, and community events — most notably “Battle Over the Bridge,” South Jersey’s premier Super Smash Bros. event that has run for hundreds of installments and even earned a spot on the “TurnDownForWalt” series. It’s a genuine gathering spot for the local competitive gaming scene, not just a place to drop in for a quick game.
Sector X is set up to host a wide range of occasions, from kids’ and teen birthday parties to corporate off-sites, team-building sessions, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and graduation celebrations. Groups can reserve private arenas or lounge space, choose game formats to match the vibe, and add a party room for food and drinks. The venue also offers X-Camps and venue rental options, making it a flexible home for everything from esports team practice to large social gatherings.
The staff at Sector X support every session with gear fitting, game-mode selection, orientation, and smooth transitions between activities, so players stay immersed and the flow never stalls. Guests are welcome to bring their own beer and wine (no liquor), and there’s a snack bar plus a shop with food and drink options for those who don’t want to bring anything. With a party room, lounge seating, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place where groups can easily turn a few hours of gaming into a full social event.
