Skirmish Paintball sits in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, tucked into the rolling Pocono Mountains along North Meckesville Road. It is one of the largest outdoor paintball facilities in the world, spread across roughly 750 acres of forested, stream-crossed terrain.

 

Fifty-Plus Maps of Pure Adrenaline

The heart of Skirmish is its collection of more than 50 distinct playing fields, each with its own personality. Players can move through open fields, dense woods, creeks, bridges, swamps, and rhododendron thickets, or storm purpose-built structures like forts, villages, and not one but two full castles. Scattered cargo containers, tanks, and even an airplane add to the variety. For those who prefer a faster, more competitive pace, there are dedicated speedball arenas with inflatable bunkers. Whatever your style, the topography keeps every round feeling fresh, and the sheer scale means you can play all day without repeating the same ground twice.

 

Signature Scenarios and Big-Battle Events

Skirmish is famous for its large-scale scenario games, which draw players from across the region. The Invasion of Normandy is the flagship event, a sprawling reenactment-style battle that was once featured on the Travel Channel as one of the “Most Manly Man Adventures.” Other recurring scenarios include Stalingrad, the Battle for Berlin and Britain, 1970: Vietnam, and Tank Day. These aren’t just casual skirmishes — they’re coordinated, multi-hour battles with objectives, teams, and referees keeping the action flowing. For newcomers, the staff runs safety briefings and pairs solo players with groups of similar skill, so nobody feels lost on their first day.

Beyond walk-on play, Skirmish is built around group experiences. It hosts bachelor parties, adult and youth birthday parties, and a special 18th birthday package, plus dedicated youth and student group days. Groups of 15 or more (20+ on Saturdays) can book private paintball play, reserving their own fields so it’s just your crew on the battlefield.
