Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center Irmo

Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center sits in Irmo, South Carolina, along Lake Murray Boulevard just a short drive from downtown Columbia. It’s a 50,000-square-foot indoor destination that anchors the area’s family entertainment scene.

Two-Story Laser Tag That Feels Like a Movie Set

The centerpiece of the venue is its multi-story laser tag arena, a two-level battlefield packed with ramps, obstacles, and glowing hideouts. Black lights, smoke machines, and lasers turn every match into a full-on adventure, and the modern equipment uses accurate laser targets that make players feel like they’ve stepped into an action film. Guests get a safety briefing in the vesting room before strapping on gear and heading into the action. Laser tag here isn’t just for kids. Adults regularly use it as a team-building challenge or a fun night out, and the arena is a favorite among visitors who say it’s one of the best attractions in the building. It’s a clean, modern, and safe way to get a serious adrenaline rush.

Bowling, Arcade, and Virtual Reality Under One Roof

Beyond laser tag, the facility houses 24 bowling lanes, eight of which are VIP lanes featuring SPARK augmented reality bowling. The 7,500-square-foot arcade and prize store offers a huge selection of games, and virtual reality experiences add another layer of high-tech fun. Bumper cars round out the lineup, giving groups plenty of ways to keep the energy up. The venue also offers escape rooms, axe throwing, and karaoke at select locations, so there’s genuinely something for every taste and age group. Whether you’re chasing a high score, a strike, or a VR adventure, the space is designed to keep everyone moving and laughing.

Birthday Parties and Group Events Done Right

Stars and Strikes is a well-known spot for birthday parties, with packages that can include bowling, arcade cards, and laser tag. Kids’ party packages start at $15.99 per person with a minimum of ten kids, and every party comes with balloons, paper products, soft drinks, food, and a Ticket Tornado experience for the birthday child. A dedicated party host keeps the energy high and the stress low, and parents get a Grown-up Play Date on the house. The Irmo location includes multiple private party rooms, highlighted by an upscale corporate event room that seats more than 100 guests and features a full private bar. This makes the venue a natural fit for corporate events, team building, fundraisers, sports team parties, church groups, and reunions, as well as birthdays and school celebrations.

Chef-Inspired Dining and a Place to Relax

Come for the fun, stay for the food. The on-site CJ’s Tavern restaurant and bar serves chef-inspired cuisine, from pizzas and burgers to refreshing drinks, all crafted to complement a day of play. It’s a comfortable spot to refuel between games or unwind after a competitive round of laser tag. The venue also runs a steady lineup of specials, including entertainment happy hours with discounted bowling, Sunday morning deals, and a Friday Stack-n-Play option that bundles up to four activities starting at $12.99 per person. An Unlimited Summer Fun Daily Pass offers four hours of unlimited bowling, free shoe rental, and unlimited laser tag where available.
