SteelTown Paintball Park & Airsoft

Steeltown Event Park, long known to locals as SteelTown Paintball Park & Airsoft, sits in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, just a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh. What began as a paintball-focused park has grown into a full-scale indoor and outdoor adventure complex serving the greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding communities.

More Than a Paintball Field

At its heart, Steeltown is still a paintball and airsoft destination, but the roster of games has expanded well beyond those two classics. Visitors can jump into paintball, airsoft, gellyball, laser tag, Nerf battles, and even outdoor squirt-gun fights, all under one roof or across its outdoor fields. Each activity is run as organized, referee-led matches with clear objectives and timed rounds, so even first-timers feel confident from the very first game. The park welcomes everyone from complete beginners to seasoned competitors. Staff walk newcomers through the rules and gear before play, while experienced players can dive straight into structured, fast-paced matches. With both standard and glow-in-the-dark versions of many games, there is a format to suit every taste and comfort level.

Fields Built for Every Season

Steeltown pairs a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled indoor arena with expansive outdoor fields, which means the action never stops regardless of weather. The facility is designed for year-round comfort, with air conditioning and revamped glow-in-the-dark fields that give nighttime play a fresh, immersive look. Players can rotate between multiple professionally designed fields, so no two matches feel the same. The venue boasts eight unique fields and more than fifteen different game modes. Indoor and outdoor layouts are meticulously maintained, offering a mix of bunkers, cover, and open lanes that reward both strategy and quick reflexes. Whether you prefer the controlled pace of indoor battles or the wide-open feel of outdoor play, there is a field built for it.

Scenarios That Keep You Coming Back

Steeltown goes beyond simple elimination games with a variety of immersive scenarios and game modes designed to test strategy, teamwork, and courage. Games are fully organized with clear objectives, timed rounds, and referee supervision to keep everything fun, fair, and exciting. Teams can rotate between fields and scenarios throughout a session, keeping the energy high from start to finish. For groups, the park offers structured team-building experiences crafted to strengthen collaboration, communication, and leadership through action-packed gameplay. Whether it’s a corporate team, a school group, or a community organization, the scenarios are built to create lasting memories and stronger connections among participants.

Beyond the Battle

Steeltown is far more than a shooting gallery. The complex also features full-swing golf simulators with over 150 courses, axe throwing lanes, an RC racing zone, a gaming lounge, and VR-powered escape rooms. This variety makes it easy to mix activities within a single visit, so groups with different interests can all find something they enjoy. When the games wind down, there are dedicated spaces to relax and celebrate. Themed party rooms, private and semi-private areas, and a banquet-friendly setup give guests a comfortable place to eat, unwind, and mark the occasion. Private rooms come equipped with high-definition televisions and WiFi, making them just as suitable for a quick meeting as for a celebration.

A Place for Every Occasion

Steeltown positions itself as a go-to venue for birthdays, corporate events, team-building outings, school and church events, graduation parties, and bachelor or bachelorette celebrations. The staff handle scheduling, safety briefings, equipment, and game flow, so hosts can focus on their guests while the team runs everything behind the scenes. Full-park rentals are also available for groups that want exclusive, uninterrupted access to the entire facility. The people behind the games are a big part of the experience. Experienced referees, instructors, and party hosts are repeatedly praised in visitor reviews for being friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in making each event memorable. From guiding first-time players to managing large private parties, the staff are known for keeping things safe, organized, and fun for everyone involved.
