About

T.C. Paintball Grand Rapids is located in Walker, Michigan, a short drive northwest of downtown Grand Rapids. The park sits at 2070 Waldorf St NW, easily accessible from the main roads of the area.

Three Ways to Play: From Gelly Ball to Full-Speed Paintball

T.C. Paintball offers three distinct game formats, each tailored to a different age group and comfort level. For the youngest adventurers ages 6 and up, there is Gelly Ball — the gentlest introduction to the sport, using soft, water-based gel balls that burst on impact with virtually no sting. Players ages 8 to 12 can step into Low Impact Paintball, which delivers all the excitement of the full game with 67% less energy on impact, making it a great bridge for kids who want a bit more action. For everyone ages 10 and older, traditional paintball is the main event, offering the classic experience of strategy, speed, and friendly competition. All three formats are available year-round thanks to the park’s 20,000-square-foot indoor arena, which features a large turf playing surface. A separate “little tykes” field is also available indoors for younger players and low-impact birthday parties.

Outdoor Fields with Character: Tactical Village and Airball

When the weather cooperates, two distinct outdoor courses open up for play. The tactical village is a themed field built around structures and barriers that encourage close-quarters strategy and realistic team maneuvers. The second outdoor course is an airball field, featuring inflatable bunkers arranged in a tournament-style layout that rewards speed, communication, and snap shooting. Both courses are chronographed to ensure safe and fair play, and certified referees are present during all games to keep the action running smoothly and safely. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces means that groups can enjoy a varied experience regardless of season — a rare advantage in Michigan’s climate.

More Than a Game: Leagues, Events, and Community

T.C. Paintball is not just a drop-in field — it is a community hub for paintball enthusiasts of all levels. The park runs several recurring programs, including the TCP Kids League for ages 8 to 12, the TCP Teen League for players up to 18, and Random Draw League Nights on Fridays, where individual players are placed onto teams for a night of organized competition. For experienced tournament players, the park also hosts dedicated events and maintains connections with the broader competitive paintball scene. These leagues and events give regular visitors a chance to grow their skills, meet other players, and become part of a local paintball family that has been active since the park first opened its doors in Grand Rapids back in 2001.

Built for Groups: Birthdays, Bachelor Parties, and Corporate Teams

The park specializes in group events of all kinds. Birthday parties are a natural fit — the staff handles the logistics so parents can relax while the kids burn off energy on the field. Bachelor parties get a unique, adrenaline-fueled twist that stands out from the usual bar crawl. Corporate outings and team-building sessions benefit from the structured gameplay that encourages communication, trust, and a little friendly competition. Youth groups, church organizations, and even police or military training groups also regularly book the facility. Groups of eight or more can choose to mix in with the general open-play crowd or reserve a private party for an additional fee, which guarantees exclusive use of the field during their game time. For groups of twelve or more, a private reservation is required, ensuring that larger parties have the space and attention they deserve.

Comforts Between Battles: Lounge, Snack Bar, and Pro Shop

Off the field, the facility is designed to make the whole visit comfortable. There is a lounge area where players can sit back and relax while certified referees keep an eye on the games. A snack bar offers chips, candy bars, water, soft drinks, and Gatorade to refuel between matches. The on-site Pro Shop stocks thousands of products — markers, barrels, clothing, masks, hoppers, and gear — so players can buy what they need or upgrade their rental equipment. Certified techs are available to repair or tune personal equipment, and chronograph stations are set up at each course. Additional amenities include clean indoor restrooms with sinks, changing rooms, storage lockers, free parking, and free WiFi. The entire park is owned and operated by Rick Steinebach, a real paintball player who started the business in 1999 and has been growing the Grand Rapids location ever since.
