About

Warzone Airsoft Field sits on five acres of pristine woods in Shamong, New Jersey, just half a mile from the northern edge of Wharton State Forest. It’s the largest field operated by QuickShot Paintball & Airsoft, a longtime fixture of the local action-sports scene, and it’s open for both day and night play.

A Field Built for Realistic Combat

Warzone was designed from the ground up as a military-simulation (milsim) environment for players who want something more serious than a casual skirmish. The layout is packed with structures and buildings tucked into beautiful New Jersey forest, giving every squad plenty of places to hide, flank, and strategize. The terrain is set up specifically to optimize tactical gameplay, so each scenario stays exciting and fresh. There’s also a huge, covered load-in area with plenty of tables, making it comfortable to gear up before a match and easy to stage equipment. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned airsofter, the field is welcoming to all skill levels while still offering the depth that experienced players look for.

Tactical Game Modes for Every Squad

The field rotates through a lineup of themed scenarios that keep things interesting from one visit to the next. Popular games include Bank Heist, Cartel, Prison Break, Capture the Flag, and even a Mandalorian-themed mode, each bringing its own objectives and twists to the battlefield. Because the field hosts a constant influx of new players, every game feels a little different. Warzone also runs night play, which adds a whole new layer of strategy and tension to the experience. Players heading out after dark are required to bring dead lights and flashlights, and the wooded setting makes for some genuinely memorable nighttime missions.

Gear, Rentals, and the Pro Shop

If you don’t own equipment, Warzone has rental packages that include everything you need to get on the field. Rentals come with a G&G CM16 Combat Rifle, two high-capacity magazines, a full face mask, and a supply of BBs, plus unlimited air fills for the day. Tactical vests are also available as an add-on for those who want a little extra gear. The field is sponsored by QuickShot Paintball & Airsoft, whose pro shop carries what’s described as the largest inventory of airsoft gear on the East Coast. That means players can pick up high-quality tactical equipment and accessories right on site, whether they’re replacing a part or upgrading their whole loadout.

Events, Parties, and Team Building

Warzone is a popular destination for corporate and club team-building events, offering a refreshing alternative to the usual meeting or party. Airsoft is well suited to any family or group gathering — it’s full of action-packed excitement, promotes camaraderie, and leaves people with great memories. The field welcomes walk-on players too, so you can simply show up and join a game. There are dedicated party packages available for those who want to book the Warzone field for a birthday, bachelor party, or employee event. It’s an adventurous way to bring a group together, and the field’s staff can help arrange a session tailored to your group’s size and experience level.

The People Behind the Field

Warzone is run by Tom “Wolf” Mathis, who brings more than 20 years of airsoft experience to the table. Wolf designed, built, and continues to manage and improve the field, and he’s known for jumping into a game himself now and then — reportedly moving faster than you’d expect for a man of his size. The field was made possible by Larry Valenzano, owner of QuickShot, who gave the project a home on Route 206 in Shamong. The result is a field built by someone who genuinely loves the sport, and that passion shows in the quality of the layout and the welcoming atmosphere. New players are encouraged to complete the online waiver before arriving, and it stays valid for a full year from the date of signing.

Rest, Refuel, and Relax

Between games, there’s a comfortable covered load-in area with tables where players can rest, regroup, and plan their next move. For food and refreshments, Mighty Joe’s Deli & Grill is located right across Route 206, attached to QuickShot Paintball & Airsoft. It’s a full-service deli and grill offering Boars Head meats, cheesesteaks, chicken tenders, pizza, coffee, and drinks, plus a fully stocked convenience store and gas station. That makes it easy to turn a day at Warzone into a full outing — play hard on the field, then refuel nearby without having to leave the area. It’s a convenient setup that keeps the whole experience smooth from arrival to the ride home.
