A West-Side El Paso Staple in Canutillo

WinkeyDoodles Paintball Adventures sits in Canutillo, Texas, on the west side of the El Paso metro area, just a short drive from Las Cruces. What began as a paintball field more than two decades ago has grown into a full outdoor adventure park that locals know simply as WD Adventure Park. It has earned a loyal following among families, youth groups, and military families from Fort Bliss and the surrounding region.

Fields Built for Every Kind of Player

The park spreads across multiple outdoor paintball fields — the facility has been described as featuring up to five fields, including several smaller ones and one large main field. There is also a rugged outdoor laser tag space and a dedicated practice area. The layout offers plenty of natural cover, bunkers, and terrain variety, giving both first-timers and seasoned players room to move, plan, and test their skills in a safe, controlled setting.

Games, Scenarios, and All-Ages Action

Beyond classic paintball, the park has expanded into GellyBall, a water-based gel round game that is gentle enough for kids as young as four while still fun for adults. Players can choose from timed starter sessions or longer group packages with unlimited ammo and multiple game modes. The park also hosts an escape room, and each fall it transforms after dark into the Terror Trail haunted house, a 19-room seasonal attraction that has become a Halloween tradition in the El Paso–Las Cruces area.

A Place for Parties, Teams, and Community

WinkeyDoodles has long positioned itself as the go-to spot for birthdays, bachelor parties, church youth outings, employee fun days, and corporate team building. The staff — described in reviews as friendly, welcoming, and thorough about safety — guide players through registration, a safety briefing, and equipment fitting. The park offers covered and shaded tables, indoor restrooms, and a freezer or refrigerator for guests bringing cake and ice cream, making it easy to host a full event on-site.

Experienced Staff and a Safety-First Approach

Reviewers consistently highlight the welcoming attitude of the staff toward both beginners and experienced players. The referees are described as fun-loving yet professional, keeping private games moving and ensuring everyone understands the rules before stepping onto the field. With over 20 years of operation, the team knows how to balance adrenaline with safety, which is why so many families return year after year.
