Zombageddon Paintball Hayride is a seasonal fall attraction set on Drew Farms in the small town of Fredonia, Pennsylvania, in Mercer County. Each autumn the family-run farm transforms into a zombie battleground where visitors climb aboard a tractor-drawn wagon to take aim at flesh-eating creatures.
Ride the Zombie Battle Wagon
The heart of the experience is the Zombie Battle Wagon, a tractor-drawn trailer fitted with individual, bolted-down paintball guns. Every rider gets a pod of 150 paintballs and spends roughly twenty minutes rolling through the farm shooting at zombies that never shoot back. A drill sergeant rides along to instruct the group and keep the energy high, and the guns are mounted so they can only fire away from the wagon, making the ride safe for shooters of all ages. Anyone who can pull a trigger can join in, and kids can sit on a parent’s lap to fire the mounted guns. For those who would rather watch, a Ride Along pass lets guests enjoy the action without shooting. Extra paintballs can be purchased online in advance or bought halfway through the ride for cash.
A Farm Turned Into a Battleground
Drew Farms provides the setting, with a cornfield, hay bales, and open pasture serving as the backdrop for the zombie invasion. The ride winds through the property while actors in zombie makeup emerge from the dark, and the whole experience is built around intense audio, lighting, strobe effects, and low visibility to heighten the mood. Beyond the wagon, the farm offers a traditional hayride in the dark, a barrel train through the cornfield, a hay bale play pit, and multiple campfires scattered around the grounds. Guests can also try pumpkin bowling, a goat petting zoo, a human hamster wheel, farm ball basketball, cornhole, and oversized yard games, giving the farm a full fall-festival feel.
Scenarios and Seasonal Programs
The attraction is built around a running storyline: a government experiment created a mutant virus, and the zombies have overrun Drew Farms. Visitors join the Z.A.P. Team (Zombie Annihilation Program) to help eradicate the outbreak during what the farm calls Zombie Fight Night. Tickets are sold in timed hourly slots, and guests are encouraged to book online since only a set number of tickets are available each hour. In addition to the nighttime zombie rides, the farm introduced a Z-Farm Daylight Pass for daytime visits. This separate program runs from early afternoon to early evening on select dates and includes farm activities like the barrel train, pumpkin chucking, the petting zoo, and photo ops, without the zombie paintball action.
