Where the Weekend Warriors Gather
Davis Paintball is located in Davis, California, just off County Road 102, roughly 15 miles west of downtown Sacramento in Yolo County.
Seven Fields, Seven Worlds to Conquer
Davis Paintball boasts seven distinct battlefields spread across a sprawling outdoor property, each designed to challenge different styles of play. Center Castle is the most popular among newcomers — a long-distance engagement field where accuracy and form win the day. Normandy, the park's newest addition, features a central building flanked by low walls and structures, rewarding teamwork and daring flanking maneuvers. Stalingrad and Berlin offer dense urban combat with building-to-building firefights, while Kingdom spans over three acres with a massive citadel at its heart — a true test of boldness and defensive strategy. For those seeking speed, the Hyperball field places bunkers close together for fast-paced, reaction-based gameplay. The Airball field is the most advanced, featuring tight angles and close bunkers that demand sharp strategy and teamwork. This variety means that whether a player is stepping onto the field for the first time or has years of experience, there is always a new tactical puzzle to solve.
Paintball for Every Age and Comfort Level
The facility offers three distinct paintball experiences tailored to different age groups and intensity preferences. Traditional .68 caliber paintball (ages 10 and up) delivers the classic paintball experience with full-impact markers and standard paintballs. Low Impact paintball (ages 8 and up) uses lighter markers and smaller paintballs, reducing the sting while keeping the thrill intact — a great stepping stone for younger players or cautious first-timers. Splatmaster is available for the youngest adventurers (ages 6 and up), using spring-powered blasters that are easy to operate and gentle on impact. All rental packages include a paintball marker, air tank, hopper, and full-face mask. Paintballs are sold separately in 500, 1,000, and 2,000 round increments. Self-equipped players can bring their own gear and enjoy reduced admission rates, with the option to purchase a "Self-Equipped Special" that bundles admission, unlimited air, and 2,000 paintballs into one convenient package. All players — rental and self-equipped alike — must use paintballs purchased from Davis Paintball on the day of play.
Events, Birthdays, and the Big Game Tradition
Davis Paintball is known for its monthly events that draw players from across the region. The "Davis Big Game" takes place on the first Saturday of every month, featuring large-scale attack-and-defend scenarios with significant player counts. Pump Day, typically held on the third Saturday, caters to enthusiasts who prefer pump-action markers for a more deliberate, skill-based style of play. The park also hosts Mech N' Pump events and an annual Summer Camp program for younger players. Birthday parties are a specialty here, with three package tiers available for traditional paintball (ages 10+). The packages include rental gear, paintballs, and a birthday gift for the honoree, with options ranging from small groups playing alongside the public to fully private three-hour sessions with a dedicated referee. Group rates scale with size — the more players in a party, the lower the per-person cost. Private events are available by reservation for those who want the field to themselves, with morning (9:00 am–12:00 pm) and afternoon (12:30 pm–3:30 pm) time slots.
Comfort, Community, and the Staging Area
The staging area at Davis Paintball is a covered, shaded space filled with picnic tables — a comfortable home base for the day's adventures. The compressed air station handles both 3000psi and 4500psi tanks, and CO2 refills are also available. Snacks and drinks are sold on-site, and outside food and drinks are welcome, making it easy to bring a cooler and settle in for a full day of play. The staff delivers a safety briefing to every player upon arrival, covering equipment operation, field rules, and proper conduct. Referees are present on the fields to enforce rules and ensure fair, safe play. The atmosphere is family-oriented and community-driven — regulars and newcomers alike share the staging area, swap stories between games, and build the kind of camaraderie that keeps people coming back weekend after weekend.
