El Monte
The Castle Fun Center
The Castle Fun Center sits in Chester, New York, in the heart of Orange County’s Hudson Valley, about 50 miles from New York City and a short drive from Legoland New York and Woodbury Commons.
Its centerpiece is a roughly 3,500-square-foot, multi-level laser tag arena lit entirely by black light, with castle-themed art, a pulsating sound system, and theatrical fog. Walk-in players can join continuous ten-minute games for about $9.50 per person, paid with a reloadable Castle Card. Beyond laser tag, the park offers go-karts, two mini golf courses, a zip line, a rock wall, an arcade, bowling, roller skating, Ballocity, an InflataPark, and axe throwing.
Birthday parties are a specialty, with hosted packages that include a party room, food, laser tag games, arcade cards, and mugs for every child. The park also hosts school field trips, camps, and corporate events at The Event Center, which features a 5,000-square-foot event room and outdoor grounds. Jesters Restaurant & Pub provides craft beer, a full bar, and table service, and free on-site parking is available year-round.
